Wildcat (2022)
Rewilding Us
Fascinating real-life portrait of a damaged human who gets rewilded through the mirror of an ocelot.
Sensitively shot, structured with a heart, and narrated with raw sincerity. This is the type of documentary that makes us people better.
Ultimately, you come to realise we are all damaged and we all need our own share of rewilding. But perhaps the beauty of this film lies in the life-embracing attitude of its protagonists matched by a loving eye behind the camera. It's beautiful to look at, to listen to, and to become part of just like you would in a good feature film; it is a hypnotising trancelike journey into the depths of darkness and light in the midst of the Peruvian jungle. Cozily intimate and alive. Thank you to everyone involved for sharing the journey.

Mesmerising cinematic poem
Soundtrack, narration, cinematography and editing all create a beautiful cinematic poem of the very simple. The very simple which also are the deepest sights and sounds that make our everyday life. The introspective nature of the journey gives us the chance to look through the eyes of somebody else. The sensitivity and artistry of the film turn it into a memorable experience of your own not to be forgotten.
A joy to get closer to the raw craft of a young Ridley. Perhaps the entire soundtrack (all of its tracks) is most extraordinary. A must see.
