Landspeed: CKY (1999)
never have I seen anything so hilarious!
Now, I love skateboarding videos as it is so when I heard about CKY I was psyched. But I never thought it would be so damn funny. I've seen all three and I can't wait for a fourth! Bam and Brandon make the movie along with Raab and Ryan. Anyone who hasn't seen it doesn't know what they're missing! Stupidity at its finest.
A Walk to Remember (2002)
A beautiful movie
I just saw A Walk to Remember and I have to admit that I normally hate sappy teen movies. But for whatever reason, this one was really moving. I could really feel the love and chemistry between the two characters which is extremely important. Shane West did a great job and looked very sexy, and Mandy Moore was superb for her first leading role. The music was wonderful, the story excellent, and the actors, sensational.
Pearl Harbor (2001)
A wonderful piece of work
I was really worried about going to see this movie because I was hearing some really bad things about but I decided to put aside three hours of my time and ventured off to see Pearl Harbor. And I am so glad that I did. I absolutely loved this movie. I thought the acting was great, the story superb, and the special effects were phenomenal. To me, it didn't feel like a three hour movie because I was enjoying it so much. I loved Ben Affleck, anyone who's a fan should definatly see it. Josh Hartnett proved himself to be a great actor since I've only seen him in 2 movies. Kate Beckinsale was wonderful too, and she looked absolutely beautiful. I really loved the way that they intertwined a love story into the film instead of just blowing things up. Although, that was great too. Anyways, great movie, 9 out of ten (lost a mark because I hated Alec Baldwin's character) go see it. Even if you don't like it, it's 3 hours of gawking at Ben and Josh, 2 really hot guys.
15 Minutes (2001)
Wow!
Wow! I really didn't want to see this movie at all because I'm not a shoot-em-up type of gal. But I dragged myself out cuz Edward Burns starred, one of the best actors around!! I really, really enjoyed everything about this movie. The bad guys were so convincing that I actually loathed them! There were some twists and turns that I never expected also. So go see this movie!! By far one of my favourites this year!! Big 10 for this one.
Dogma (1999)
So good but so bad at the same time
I feel really bad saying that this movie was really good but I can't help it. It was soooo funny that I was rolling on the ground. But at the same time it was horrible. They were taking shots at God left, right and centre. But I guess it's all in the name of fun. Everyone in this movie was great. I especially loved Chris Rock and "Silent Bob." Ben and Matt were great too. This movie was hilarious but if you're a strong Christian, do not see it, it's very offensive.
Here on Earth (2000)
a real tearjerker
When I rented this movie, I expected something different. I expected another silly teen movie, and okay, teen movie, but it wasn't stupid. In fact it was really sad. However, I did enjoy it. I think the star of the movie wasn't Chris or Leelee, but Josh Hartnett. To me, he was the only actor that didn't sound stale. He is a fabulous actor that deserves a tremendous amount of recognition, not to mention the best looking young actor today. What was Leelee thinking going for Chris Klein? Overall, I found it thoroughly enjoyable and a fun movie to watch. If you're a fan of teen movies I'd say you should rent this one. 8/10
