Luz (2018)
could not get through it
This was incredibly boring and just plain bad. The beginning was sort of interesting only in the way that there was a sense of intensity but then the long and I do not exaggerate, long pointless shots destroyed my patients. long shots of the entry room with some guy at front desk that had no point. Long shots of guy setting up chairs On and on. Felt like I spent an eternity in just 20min. of this film which was all I could take before i started to hit fast forward.
The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019)
Wonderful
What a wonderful movie. There was a bit at the ending that was completely unnecessary. Mini drama for the sake of nothing (hospital). Plus they never explained how they worked it out. Did they just run off? How is that possible without the police coming after them? Other then those two issue I had, the movie was wonderful and full of positive messages.
Color Out of Space (2019)
This is what an H.P. Lovecraft movie is all about
It's rare to actually find a real H.P Lovecraft movie faithful to his writing. Most movies who say they are have been nothing but trash. This was like watching a book of his in true glorious tech-na-color. The Director and Writer must be true fans and gave every ounce of themselves in making this. I went in skeptical as I said its rare to find a good H.P Lovecraft movie. But boy was I happily surprised. Don't listen to the negative, try it out for yourself and be the judge. The Mouth of madness movie is my all time Lovecrafty movie fav. And for me Color out of space now places equal to it.
Retina (2017)
Waste of time
The Director seemed to think looooong drawn out senseless scenes would be interesting or he just needed filler for a BORING story. Very irritating dream sequences. The acting was horrendous and The main actor/character had absolutely no chemistry. I felt nothing for her at all. I think all the high scores here are definitely from people who had some connection to the movie. I fast forwarded through most of it. A couple of stops for plot points and understood the movie. Basically 10 min. of story and the rest just boring filler.
AJ and the Queen (2020)
My inner Queen is coming out!
Ok have not watched this yet as it just came out on Netflix. But I am so freakin excited I'm a little wet....LOVE Ru Paul! Just saw the trailer and this looks like it has it all. I didn't even know there was a series being made, got up this morning and had a notice in my email from Netflix. I'm going to eat this up all night!
