The Unforgivable (2021)
Slow burn but worth it
Movie starts out slow and drip feeds you information about the plot, but it kept me watching wanting to find out more the whole time. Characters are somewhat relatable but most only serve as plot devices to relate to the main character.
Locked Down (2010)
Shawshank Redemption Meets Karate Kid
At the start of the movie I wasn't expecting a top-notch film, but I hadn't been watching more than 6 minutes and got my first taste of stiff acting, which continues throughout the film. Some other reviewers wrote that the fight scenes weren't very good, but I found them generally entertaining, although they could have learned a thing or two from the film Never Back Down.
Besides the acting and sheer predictability of the film, what really disappointed me was the prison-break attempt. It seemed like something added onto the script at the last minute.
A large portion of the film was unpolished and haphazard, the acting of the lead was extremely poor, and was the biggest let down of the whole film. If there had been a believable lead character, I may have overlooked the other ridiculous characters, such as the Cage fighter, the female prison guard, and just about the entire rest of the cast.
The concept of a police officer being framed by a mob boss that he locked up to be put into the same prison had some potential, but it was all wasted on horrible direction and a terrible cast.
The Voyage That Shook the World (2009)
A Dishonest Propaganda Piece
This 'documentary' is an absolute disgrace, the majority of its time was spent trying to undermine the character of Charles Darwin, his work was never presented in its own light, but was constantly tainted with Creationist misdirections. A large portion of time was spent trying to discredit uniformitarianism, a concept that Charles Darwin had learned from reading the works of Charles Lyell. The film makers frequently made allegations that Darwin was unduly influenced by Lyell and by his own Grandfather, and often had Creationists on their payroll come and say things like "he (Darwin) had preconceived ideas" or would mention "Darwin's devotion to Charles Lyell".
The idea of catastrophism was emphasized every few minutes, with frequent references to earthquakes, floods and rapid continental shifts. There is a strong emphasis on the assertion that there is some kind of debate within science about the age of the earth and about whether evolution occurred. This however is not the case, Scientists are unanimous in accepting evolution as the explanation for the biodiversity on earth, and there isn't a credible scientist on the planet that would take young-earth creationism seriously. The people that made this film exist only on the very fringes, they will constantly make accusations that there is a conspiracy within science to silence them, but this isn't true. Young Earth Creationism is not scientifically supported at all, and this film is a prime example of that, they have to resort to character assassinations to try and convert people.
Unlocking the Mystery of Life (2003)
Dreadfully Misguided and Deceitful
Nothing in this video is scientifically valid in the slightest, which is why none of the proponents of 'Intelligent Design' have ever had an article published in a peer-reviewed journal on the subject. ID just doesn't stand up to close scientific scrutiny. Much of what is said by people like Behe in this video had already been thoroughly refuted by science long before this video was made. The reason you will never hear about any of this from ID proponents is because they don't follow the progress of science. When confronted with dozens of papers that refute his work at the Dover Trial (where ID was shot down)Michael Behe admitted that he'd never seen any of it and had to adjourn the court so he could read them. They defend ID as religiously as they defended creationism back in the 80's. It's just simply pseudo-scientific garbage. This 'movie' is absolute trash.
In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale (2007)
Worse than Anaconda 3
As other reviews have mentioned, this movie does not have a single redeeming quality. The script is bland, the acting is dry (most likely because of poor directing), the props are unrealistic, the fight scenes are about as boring as you can get (think Jackie Chan movies, but without being funny at all, just stupid and cheesy). The movie had no flow, and seemed to jump from scene to scene randomly. I urge you not to watch this movie to see how bad it is, because I assure you it really IS the worst movie you will ever watch. Uwe Boll is a disgrace to humanity. I have no idea what on earth was going through Jason Statham, and the rest of the excellent cast's heads, because Uwe Boll has shown time and time again that he has no regard or respect for the source material of every single one of his D-grade movies (which he has many of). Simply watching this movie will cause you to lose braincells
