The episode that locked me into the show
29 October 2019
Very well made. It's just cute, but there's a great story too.

Took a great villain and turned him into a joke

Why do you take a great villain and turn him into a joke? Makes absolutely no sense.

Pointless
29 October 2019
It's a fan service episode but that doesn't make it good. Probably the most pointless episode in the entire show.

Do they even care about continuity anymore?

We had this moral in season 1, 6 years prior to the release of this episode. This is what happens when you hire writers who don't watching the freaking show, as the leaked emails on /mlp/ revealed.

Continuity Disregarded

I guess the past 7 years of buildup between Big Mac and Cheerilee mean nothing?

The Final Good Episode
29 October 2019
I loved this episode, it's a shame that this is the last good one. I wish this was the series finale instead of the crappy one they made in October of 2019.

An awful episode - the show continues to be degraded
29 October 2019
Michael Vogel, Josh Haber, Nicole Dubuc are some of the most despicable people in the animation industry. Shoving your political BS into a show about friendship for family audiences is sooooooo effing low. We all saw the leaked emails. We know what your motivations were. All terrible people.

Child Murder in a Kid's Show

Cozy didn't deserve to die.... she was essentially proven right. They just use their power to silence dissent. It's a disappointing way to end the show (penultimately). Whoever wrote this is an awful awful person.

Terrible

Warning: Spoilers
Rare is it that a piece of animation angers me this much, but this finale was such a deviation from the tone and message that the rest of the show sets up, it's honestly really saddening how badly they butchered this finale. I found no enjoyment from watching this. The character designs for the future ponies and Spike were particularly atrocious and ugly to look at.

Masterfully Crafted

I think the real star of the show is Ashleigh Ball, who ends up being our vessel, essentially, for exploring this quirky fandom of grown men who like a cartoon for little girls. I even gave My Little Pony a shot after watching this doc and while it's not for me, I now understand the appeal. It's definitely a well made cartoon show (I only watched the first three episodes, mind you). Well done to Hodge and company.

Very poorly made

As a Jayhawk fan I could not have been more disappointed. This wasn't a well made move at all. How is this guy a film professor at KU? It boggles the mind.
