At the outset I will tell that I am huge fan of Narcos and started watching this series after reading the reviews of Narcos where many people have complained about Narcos while praising this series. For me , Narcos is professional quality while El Parton is very,very amateurish. The production quality is very low which is obviously due to the budget. The main problem is , this series unnecessarily stretched.

Everything clicks in this series. Acting, writing, casting and the locations. To recreate 1940s England and come up with interesting stories is a herculean task and the makers have successfully accomplished it. The sad part is the skipping of the crucial time period of WW II. The Normandy invasion and Operation Fortitude and England played a very crucial role in Operation Fortitude. The Cold war episodes are not as good as the war time episodes. The best about the series is the brilliant acting of Michael Kitchen as Christopher Foyle. He is such class act. He brings respectability , intelligence and decency to the role. Honeysuckle Weeks as Samantha Stewart is delightful.

I was not even aware of this show and would not have watched this had it not been recommended by a friend. I started watching season 1 on Friday night and completed both season 1 and 2 by end of Saturday. When Season 3 was released on Netflix I binge watched and completed in 1 sittings. It is so addictive that I have watched season 1 to 3 almost 5 times already. People who bad mouth this show or give less rating are simply jealous of its success. I agree that Native Colombians may not like for the fact that the leading character is done by a non-spanish speaking and some left leaning people might be offended by the portrayal of M19 terrorist group. For me the acting is top class , the Production value is 1st rate and the writing and direction is simply outstanding and top it all the background music is comparable to Spaghetti westerns.

After Charlie Sheen's exit this show should have ended. The constant bickering of the brothers and Alan being such a loser and Jake's and Elderidge's stupidity were really funny.

Until they remained single and were just dating things were good but the moment the relationships turned serious everything started going to the drain. One more complaint I have is , being an Asian-Indian I was very happy to see a major character on the American Sitcom but they made him a fruit salad and turned him to a butt of joke. Sheldon's character until he met Amy was brilliant with shades of Mr.Bean. And I also find Leonard's character aping Jack Tripper from Threes Company sometimes. This may have something to do with Penny(Kaley Cuoco) who earlier had experience of working with John Ritter.
