Sagrada familia (2022)
The many faces of motherhood.
This mini series hooks you from the start and makes you discover the many facets of motherhood. It is not only a story of a family drama but it also touches on how women see their roles within society, are these roles imposed or self-chosen ?
Najwa Nimri is fabulous in her role and the plot, even if at times is predictable, keeps you hooked. Alba Flores does not disappoint either even if her accent was a bit weird. The OST was also well chosen. I don't get the negative reviews as the story telling has been used in other series (flashbacks to explain how things are interwoven). It is definitely a bing able series made by Netflix.
Big Sky (2020)
Big mess !!!
Started watching S1 & it looked promising. S2 was just bad on bad, the acting, the script, the ridiculous plot lines !!!! It's like driving by a bad wreck, you know you shouldn't look and yet you do. It did help me have background noise while working from home but other than that...big mess !!!
Suspicion (2022)
So far, so good !
Watched ep1 and didn't binge on a second one because I gotta work tomorrow ! You are left with so many questions, in a good way. And like most Brit series, it's cool, classy and entertaining. Will definitely stick for next episodes.
The Afterparty (2022)
Such fun ! A whodunnit to chill after OD on true crime podcasts !
I have enjoyed the first 3 episodes. The use of the point of view of each character in each episode makes up for entertaining TV with so many great comedic actors in the mix. Great to chill out & enjoy the ride.
The Stranger (2020)
Binge worthy !!!
Honestly, don't understand the low ratings !!! This was a great thriller from start to finish, with unexpected twist and a mind-blowing last two minute scene. Don't let bad reviews stop you from a thriller with a Brit accent !
Donne-moi des ailes (2019)
Simply lovely...
It restore your faith in humanity and dreams. It is thanks to the Thomas' and the Greta's (Thunberg) of the world that younger generations will, hopefully, do more than we did, to save our world. A film to see with your kids in order to inspire them.
