Humans (2015)
Season One is excellent, Niska is the secret weapon
This series is very fresh and offers something different. The first season is very good however I found it to drag on quite a bit throughout season 2 and 3.
During season two I found certain aspects of the story hard to follow. All characters are played to perfection, especially Emily Berrington as Niska, she is the star of this series and really carries the whole show.
The Last of Us: Part II (2020)
This franchise has been destroyed
I'm gutted with what Naughty Dog have put out here. We have been victims of false advertising and pure lies. From the trailers we were shown, we were expecting a game about Joel and Ellie. We didn't get this and to make matters worse, the story is terrible, it's jumbled together and the writing and pacing is so far off the first game, it's almost like there has been a completely different team writing this story.
The only good thing about this game is the gameplay and graphics. The level of detail that has gone into this is brilliant, at times I thought I was looking at real humans. The world of the last of us is great, but in a story driven franchise, when it's not up to par, it will drag everything down with it.
The ending of this game will leave you feeling angry and upset, there is nothing satisfying about it and nothing gets cleared up. It appears Naughty Dog have tried to do something different with this game, but it doesn't work and it's a mess. It feels like a big political statement and a message about revenge is bad being shoved in our faces.
In my honest opinion I had to set the difficulty to very easy after the first couple of hours into this game just to get through it, it wasn't a good experience at all. We was told by Neil Druckmann himself that the Last of Us is about Joel and Ellie, this game isn't. I bought it as I had to play it as I consider the first game the best I've ever played.
However, after this I will not be purchasing anything Naughty Dog put out in the future. Save yourself £60 and don't buy it.
Andy Murray: Resurfacing (2019)
A great watch for all people involved with sports
I'm a tennis player myself and love sports in general. This was a brilliant watch to see the ups and downs of Andy's journey, you see the positive and the negatives aspects and everything that he went through.
There's a few personal moments where you hear private voice notes and videos he recorded when he couldn't sleep at night. There's some lovely words from his wife Kim throughout, she must have been his saviour through everything he's gone through.
Let's not forget he's recently won the European Open, and 2020 looks bright for Andy, can't wait to see what it brings for him!
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019)
A must watch for any Breaking Bad fans
Breaking bad was the best tv show I've ever seen and I'm happy to see Jesse Pinkman back on my tv. There was a story to be told after the final BB episode regarding Jesse and in My opinion Vince Gillian has written that story beautifully.
This movie starts with a bang and hits you like a train - There are some nice call backs to the BB universe and some cameo appearances from much loved characters. A brilliant performance from Aaron Paul and after watching this you will be satisfied as this feels like the end of the breaking bad world, all ends now feel tied up.
