I also have a wide variety of movies on VHS as well as DVD's. But more movies on VHS.
I am fascinated with older movies as they seem to get to the point of the script.
I spend alot of time alone when I have the chance and view my collection from time to time. I watch mostly on the weekends.
I also analyse many movies.
My favorite type of movies are from Britain because of their direct and blunt attitudes whether it's comedy horror, and adult drama.
I do like nostalgic comedies from the 40,s to the mid 80,s and maybe the 90,s......

Yes Minister (1980)
German Trailer:
Every time I log on to Yes Minister got a German trailer all the time I don't want to hear it in German I want to hear it in English I want to hear the English accents not German that's for German listeners and viewers who don't understand English that's fine but why is it always in German I'm trying to get rid of German Trailer..
To Sir, with Love (1967)
To Sir with Love
I have seen this movie when it came out in 1967 at a cinema.
Then it was shown over the years on TV. I must have seen it several times.
On TCM they seem to always show this movie. I watched it the other night again and always seem to enjoy it as I settled in in those swinging London times.
Thats when the Uk was a different more English country and London was a very british type of city. I would have loved to go back in those times and experience the feeling.
It a good movie and I have the orinial book to the movie. The characters are strong and good and the girls they are as pretty as ever especialy Judy Geeson I wa sattracted to her and her style. I could use a girlfriend like her.
This movie was alot better then the remake that was made in 1996. So many years later. Id recommend to watch this movie right through. You will get lost in those times of swinging London. The music was timeless and I even have the original soundtrack to the film..I love those accents...
The Royal (2003)
The Royal Time Machine:
I always look forward here in Toronto area to watch this series that runs on Tuesday nights at 8pm on Vision Tv. They play alot of British drama,s.
I always like to watch this show as it reminds me of back home in that time. It was a more simpler time and the people were alot different and the girls were cute looking.
I was quite fond of Sister Brigid played by Linda Armsrong I have this secret crush on her. She is quite attrctive in her own means.
The show was set in the 60,s up in the Yorkshire area. I think the main town or city is Whitby.
The plots were good and sometimes funny and drama as well. I like the Matron played by wendy craig she was firm and direct. I also like the porters in it as well as Dr. Rose. I wish I could have a doctor like Dr. Rose. I looked forward to see whats taking place at the Royal. Mnay times the show crossed over to Heartbeat also made in the same time range and area.
Its a good series not complicated like today,s series and it represents a nostalgic Britain which I was a customed to.
I would recommend to watch this series it,s well worth it...............
Kolchak: The Night Stalker (1974)
The Nightstalker Stalks Again
I have the DVD series and have watched it right through.I watch the series at night after 9pm for maxament effect.
I like all the series and episodes. Its too bad the series only lasted for 1 season 1974 to 1975.
The remake in 2005 was so bad it didin,t last that long and was canceled after 13 episodes.I wasn,t sorry. You can,t re create a great series like the original nightstalker. The new one had too many characters in it and made carl kolchak weak and it wasn,t even funny at times.I recommend the original series its the best and its a shame that the series didin,t have a longer run.I liked Tony Vincenzo,s character played by Simon Oakland. Him and Carl strangely enough had some good weird chemestry. There were laots of familiar faces in the series and I have the only 3 disc DVD of the series.I do have the Nightstrangler 1972 only on VHS. I loved Carls clothes. It was him and that hat was like a bird ,s nest on his head. He was identifiable at all times. But at least he got down to the story and delt with whatever he had to do. The police couldn,t do what Carl did. He had guts I tell you.You don,t find that in todays news reporters. carl stood out from all others. His boss must be proud of him. If you find this series I recommend you watch it.
Melody (1971)
Melody
I watched this movie when it came out in 1971 I believe.I was just 20 yrs old then.
I enjoyed the movie very much and i got lost in it quite a bit. I even saw it twice that's how this movie had an effect on me.You see I spent some time in England during the late sixties till mid 80,s and beyond. You can see the effect the British have on me. I even bought the soundtrack to the movie and I still today have the album. It,s out of print as well as this movie. It is very hard to find. But i managed to find the movie on VHS in the library. I can,t find the movie at all it even was in the local video store about 10 years ago. I eventually had ordered it through Amazon. ca. I got it on disc. It plays well and no skips and the quality is quite good. I also do like the actors and Tracy Hyde being a very beautiful girl swept me away. Especially when she tried to put on lipstick and eye make up she was transferred to an older more mature British girl. She caught my eye and I was only 20 back then. You see how this film has effected me. I liked Jack wild in it as well as Mark Lester. The location was familiar to me and the music by The Bee gees was good to. I liked the song first of May when Mark and Tracy held hands and walked to the cemetery to be together. what an effect. Sadly we lost jack Wild in 2002 I think. he was a character and I liked his cocky accent. The movie hasn't been seen here at all I think I saw it run in Chicago on WGN some time ago. I wonder why TCM can,t pick up this movie. They seem to pick up To Sir With Love. Anyways I watched the movie just last night before I wrote my review down here. If this movie does come on do watch it alone to get the real effect of the time and the places in and around London. It will always stick in my mind as I am now 63 years old...
Oh, God! Book II (1980)
Oh God Book 2:
I just watched this movie here on late night TV. I saw the first OH GOD movie and thought I did like it better. But the second one was quite good with a different cast. There is a message here in these Oh GOd movies.I know it is hard to tell anyone you have spoken to GOD as Tracy did in this movie. George Burns is well played in his roll as GOD and why not, he,s perfect for the part of GOD. He is a legend that goes back way before these actors. The message is to have faith and believe. There has't been a movie like this. Now a days there is too much violence shown with no dialogue like this movie. I did like it and felt sad that GOD left. But their is hope.
