The Witcher: Blood Origin (2022)
Not as bad as some say
This story needed to be told because I had no idea about about the origins of the Witcher universe. It was cringe at times but really it needed to be told. They could've expanded a bit in some areas, some felt rushed as well. Relationships were rushed and some dialogue was on the nose. It was still exciting to see what happened before, I hope they listened to the bad stuff and make a better season two where they left off. I doubt that they'll make a season two but I would love to see how the "second" Witcher was made and the founding of Kaer Morhen? Or whatever it's called, (the base of the witchers)
Would also like to see it being picked up where it left off just so we can see more of the aftermath of Humans & monsters coming to the continent!
It's really only 4 episodes so it's not dragged out, it just felt rushed in some ways.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law: A Normal Amount of Rage (2022)
Rating not accurate, due to haters?
Although I am a huge Marvel fan I thought this first episode was great, a bit short but the lead (she-hulk) does a great job, very likable. Funny, with good set-up for future episode. Can't wait for the rest.
Prey (2022)
Definitely worth the watch!
Usually like Native American films, thought they did great in historical accuracy (apart from the fact that an "Alien" Predator lands in the 16th century) really cool action, great CGI. Really didn't expect much from it but I loved it.
Supernatural (2005)
Just finished season 15th
Like most people say, first 5 seasons are amazing. It has it's moments going through to season 11 or so. I stopped watching after season 11 as i felt it was mostly filler episodes rather than actual storyline. When season 15 wrapped i always felt the urge to go back and see how the story ends, and im really happy i did. I started watching from season 13 and the last two, i believe it was when Jack came into the series. I fell in love with the show again, the humour, the lore and the twists were still there to my surprise. Im so glad i picked the show up again. The Ending was OK, was "happy-sad" in the end.
Overall this series gets an 8. Season 1-5 gets 9 and the rest is 7 so even Steven.
Can't wait to see Jensen Ackles as Soldier boy in The Boys s.4 !
The Book of Boba Fett (2021)
First episode 7/10, NOT close to Mandalorian
Guess im one of the first humans to rate it because all those reviews were so far off, or maybe just a different generation..
It was a bit slow and i don't really think this show will be a hit but then again it's only one episode in. But I thought Boba seemed a bit week when fighting, Pedro Pascal would've won that fight eaaaasy. Another annoying bit was that they dug for small pods of water in the desert?? They barely dug on screen and found several, but maybe there will be an explanation for their existence, either placed there or dropped by a certain animal...
However in short i don't think it will be a hit because i don't really "respect" Boba and the Asian lady does cool stunts and all but I've gotten sick of her since I saw her in Agents of Shield.
Overall the show will probably have some good cameos and awesome lore but as of now I doubt that they're will be a second season.
How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast) (2019)
Watch in German with subs.
Expected nothing when finding this on Netflix, was really surprised and glad when I got into it. I'm sort of hooked now, really hope more seasonal will come!
Mortal Kombat (2021)
Actually surprised, worth the watch.
I thought it would be another mortal kombat with bad CGI and acting, but I'm honestly surprised. For fans of the "MK universe" you'll like it, definitely worth watching!
If you plan on seeing the movie read no further, i disliked that it dropped off at the last 1/3 of the movie because it was great 2/3 in, felt they could've made the final battles a bit more interesting or with more lore. They did set up for a sequel though with Johnny Cage, I'm looking forward to the development of it. Really hope they continue with a second one. They set it up good, next movie has real potential. Hope they get it right.
Love and Monsters (2020)
HONEST REVIEW
Had little to none expectations, thought it would've been anothe B-movie with poor script and bad CGI. Came here to see reviews and ratings, was intrigued by most of them so watched and really really liked it. It's really well paced, some nice moments and all in all good fun. Really surprised actually, the lead is a great actor. Liked him in Percy Jackson movies (even though they are somewhat dumb) but this could honestly be a small franchise, sets up for a sequel. Cant wait to see what happens!
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Excellent, a bit slow-paced though, DC EU future restored!
If you've seen the first edition of JL film then this version will be a bit slow paced. However Snyder has completely restored my faith in the DC cinematic universe going forward. With a bunch of added character depth and new heroes/villains it feels like a less empty in this universe. This film felt more in tuned with what Marvel has been doing for years but with a darker tone.
And I must say I saw some similarities with Avengers Infinity War & Endgame but that doesn't matter. Cant wait for the future of DC universe, I just hope they follow more of this path in other installments.
Intouchables (2011)
I dont give movies 10's but...
This film is so beautiful.. i don't think I've laughed and (almost) cried so much during a movie.. based on a true story, it's just so heartwarming and wonderful.
Took me some time to watch this but I'm so fakking glad I did.. wow
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017)
Could've been a lot better...
Really cool sci-fi action film, but hated all "love" moments between the De Haan&Delavigne.. it was to cheesy and De Haan is just terrible in this role.. if it was less "romantic" moments and less De Haan it could've been a great film.
I saw it 3 years after this came out, I remember shutting it off 2 times on first viewing but I'm glad I saw it. Even though it's a really long film!
Iron Man Three (2013)
Better 2nd or 6th time around!
Didn't think much of Iron Man 3 at first but after rewatching it (probably 6th time, but first time since Infinity War came out), it really does give Tony Stark a better story arch by him not using the Iron Man suit as much and more of "gadgets" and "spy-technique". And we get more of Tony's different suits. And it's funny as hell. AND it's a Christmas movie :)
Daredevil (2015)
Cancelled... tragic! Future MCU?
For someone whom hasn't seen this I STRONGLY recommend this. If you want to pick any Marvel series from Netflix, start with this Daredevil.. it is simply put amazing!
If you don't like "superhero shows" then this will still be worth watching because it is so much more.
Hopefully we get a Charlie Cox Daredevil in the MCU, Thought Kingpin as flawed but a really cool take on the character by Vincent Doforio?¿
Punisher series is dope as hell as well..
Actually only Iron Fist character was crap, but worth watching for other characters!
Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn (2020)
Wow.. just wow
This movie is so i dont know where to start..
I expected so so much more. How was this ever greenlit? The casting was good, but the script is soooo bad. And the fighting scenes are horrible, didn't believe a single punch/kick throughout the whole movie. Only reason this movie has above 4.0 is because it supposed to empower women.. only good moment in the movie was "Black Canary" singing this is a mans world...
Locke & Key (2020)
Very interesting, but somewhat predictable.
Haven't read the comics, but from the first episode it really is interesting! Last episode was predictable but I can't wait for Season 2.
Feels like Stranger Things but not as cool or good. But still very entertaining and watchable.
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
It was worse than cancer!
Worst thing to come out of Hollywood since Aids in the 70's... Next time Disney will hopefully have a vision or plan for the next trilogy.. literally no logic behind this creation, it aaaaaall about the Benjamins for Disney..
The Orville (2017)
Love It! Renewed for a third season!
Not as brutal as Family Guy or American dad when it comes the comedy, but just as bit of fun.
Seth Macfarlane's cleverness never seems to amaze me, hilarious view of "aliens", the questions asked and jokes on top would be enough for a great show.
A great take on what society's can be like on an alien planet, what rules and morals they have.
And most characters don't even have to say anything to be funny. I love this show, really hope they can go as long as Seth's heart is still in it.
