Rick and Morty: Rickmurai Jack (2021)
Anti-Rick Season is Over
The Rick character we knew and loved from first 3 and half season was dead this year. From the very first episode of this season Rick character was insulted, belittled, castrated and turned into a snowflake. As for 'and Morty', aside from final two episodes they barely had an adventure.
I was excited at the Citadel part, hoped they would finally do an original R&M but it went downhill so fast. Another Rick-bashing episode after meaningless crow story-line. I did not get a chuckle during the entire 2 episodes.
Anyhow, it was good while it lasted. From this moment on i guess R&M will be just another mainstream show with these lousy writers. Dan Harmon, like Community, produced 3 fantastic seasons, yet the degradation in R&M is worse than Community, perhaps could only be matched by GoT.
Disappointed and will probably not watch this mainstream BS anymore. Rick is fun when he is Rick, this snowflake version of Rick is unbearable, hardly finished the episode.
Community: Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (2011)
One of The Best - Despicable Netflix
This episode is arguably one of the best episodes of Community. Pity that bigots in Netflix decided to remove it for virtue-signalling. Cancelled Netflix subscription. Can't even get away from virtue-signalling cancel culture in a paid entertainment stream.
Community: Regional Holiday Music (2011)
An Episode with Molly
Some might not have realized but the characters are on Molly in this episode. Some 'ridiculous' behaviors are just characters pretending to be under influence.
I think the 'recruiting' part, where they sang some impressive songs were great. So much effort in this episode by the writers i think it deserves 10.
For me it was one of the best episodes of Community.
Superbad (2007)
Superbad
I think the title of the movie says it all.
Cops were somewhat funny, other than that the movie overall was pretty boring despite good acting from everyone.
Gisaengchung (2019)
Splendid
This is one of the best movies of the new century. All characters are real and to some extent relatable. While the movie is Korean and leverages Korean culture in many parts, the multicultural, universal takes what made this movie so great.
Most importantly, while the movie does make a lot of comments with regards to class differences, it constantly refrains from taking side or lecturing the audience.
99 francs (2007)
Terrible
A drug-addict, low intellect, self-entitled, rude-mannered person considering himself somewhat of a God, simply because he does some advertisement for some allegedly big corporate, drive somewhat of an expensive car and occasionally have intercourse with hot women.
It was mostly boring to watch this illiterate movie.
As for the ending; yes what a revolution, presuming this would happen in real life, all that self-entitled idiot would achieve would be to bankrupt the company cost probably thousands of jobs while enriching some other competitor.
We are supposed to be shocked by the amount that is spent on advertising? Of course people will spend bunch of money to that, without it, trade and growth would all be less.
Instead of advising to be wise and informed consumers, the movie criticize everything about 'consumerism'. What you consume/spend is another person's income, is not inherently evil.
Overall, another illiterate attempt to criticize current society.
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
One of The Best Endings Ever
The movie was overall, not that exciting. I suppose it was more for those people (baby boomers), who remember 60s and the culture. It was still interesting but not really exciting during most of the movies.
For my taste, it surely was no Pulp Fiction.
DiCaprio was great in acting, as usual, yet his character was not really that interesting.
Brad Pitt, whose character is far from interesting, was great. He played brilliantly, and his scenes were mostly fun.
The ending, for sure, was great. Pitt, being high on acid, made it even greater.
To me, it felt like Tarantino was sending a message to hippies of today, which are known as WOKEs, and i liked it.
