Hot Forever (2022)
Mary Wiseman
For all those that think this skit is too serious, get a life. I just skimmed over the last 5 reviews and they didn't get the message Iliza was trying to get across. Mary Wiseman was bullied for her body. Even reporters called it her body type. Say it like it is. People, including Star Trek fans, didn't like a curvy woman in tight uniforms.
This how we judge. All those who criticize her don't even know her. Even though she played an awesome character and did an excellent job. She didn't fit the image what a Star Fleet Officer suppose to look like. I stopped watching Star Trek after she left Discovery and gave away all the DVD's I had. Don't need them anymore due to streaming. I'm still discussed by this.
This is exactly what Iliza was talking about. All the other critics that reviewed before me that I read, didn't like the fact she was making a point. Because it is a serious subject that you're not going to get a laugh every second, they say it was a horrible show.
Stand up comedians are intelligent and you have to be intelligent to appreciate them. If you want unintelligent comedy, watch The Trailer Park Boys.
Iliza, awesome job. Too bad there is much more people that you talked about, especially the men that don't get sex, that see woman as an object rather than the intellectual men that support women. Society measures intelligence by IQ, I see intelligence as someone who good at what they do. I know, I have 3 adult daughters that I supported all their lives. Keep going on this. Thank you for the great entertainment.
Moon Knight (2022)
Horrible for the Mentally Ill
Here is another series that creates more stigma against the mentally ill. This is why I tell people with mental illness, not to tell anyone else, not even family. This is not what most schizophrenics go through. I know, it's one of my mental illnesses. I've kept silence for about 40 years, not anymore. The reason I don't hide anymore, is because I don't give a damn what people think anymore. For most mentally ill, this isn't the case. The world wants mentally ill people ask for help, but how can they when they see this crap getting success every time.
There is other great series and movies about people with mental illness as intelligent working people that thrive in sociality. The best one I've seen is Homeland. This is what most people with mental illness do.
This show is trying to make the rarest case, as normal mentally ill person. It makes me sick. I manage on episode and 10 minutes of the second one. I usually see 5 episodes before I review.
Not only the writing is bad, so is the acting & directing. These shows will be a success because exploitation of the mentally ill, not because of the quality.
Keep Breathing (2022)
For Everyone That Hasn't Been In Canadian Wilderness
I hope you read this review. It wasn't just wilderness survival, it was all the mental illness and trauma in her life. If you were ever lost in the middle of nowhere, you would understand this series.
There is several things that no way anyone could survive from, but that's what people want to see. Otherwise, it is very realistic. This wasn't made for all audience and that's a shame but that's also life.
Taylor Tomlinson: Look at You (2022)
Awesome For Someone Talking About Mental Ilness
She definitely has bipolar. I never seen anyone make fun of it the way she does. Most bipolar people love to laugh after they become stable. She definitely can laugh after her mania episodes.
I hope she writes more about this subject. She shows people that bipolar is not run for the hills disease. Were not mass murders as the media & show producers like to emphasis.
Hopefully in a comic way she spreads the truth about this chronic Illness. If my english not proper, it's that besides being bipolar, I'm also illiterate. Lots of red & blue line corrections when I type. Hate autocorrect.
Cursed (2020)
I don't know about other reviews
The comments on other reviews are crazy. Today's shows are not going to have all white actors. Get over it. So what if Merlin don't have a British accent. The acting is good and writing is well done. Hope to see a second season.
Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
I Thought Star Trek Had The Highest Quality Production
When I started to see this season of The Expanse, I realize that Star Trek is way behind on CG & sets when it comes to 4K television. 4K streaming service is going to be the future, not cable. I also do not think Crave has the transmitting capabilities like Prime does for Sci-Fi shows like these. It make it look like models where used on ships & worlds instead of CG on Discovery after watching an episode of The Expanse. Also the inside of the ship is blurred out to show the actors & some other ship consoles, etc. It seems to me this is done to compensate for the streaming provider. I am using the same ISP, devices & TV near the same time late at night. This does not give the excuse of traffic causing the problem. I downgraded my rating because of this & disappointed because I am a huge Star Trek fan for 50 years.
The Expanse (2015)
Finally A Streaming Service Knows How To Produce In 4K
I love The Expanse from the beginning but Amazon Prime taken Season 5 to another level in their own studio. I did not think the directing was very good in episode 1 but that changed, & the continuation of the story is excellent. The CG is awesome. I am so happy Prime pick this show up. It will be the best series ever.
Scoob! (2020)
Modern Scooby
I don't like when people are looking for the same thing on modern movies of old shows. This is a great 2020 version.
Stranger Things (2016)
Has Everything
If you want horror, humour, heart breaking, heroes & heroines, happening edge of your seat action, hope & hysteria. This is the show for you. This is not my generation show & I don't know why Netflix keep putting Shows like Ozark for Grammy awards. We have to move on. The kids are smart & hilarious.
Challenger: The Final Flight (2020)
Very Accurate
Great detail of the coverup & the affects that the explosion has on the family & the world. Still no remorse from the decision makers, which is not shocking but sad how the world is then & still is today.
One Day at a Time: Boundaries (2020)
Hurts
This is intelligent comedy. I didn't see the cell phone part coming & just got better from there. With modern messages, this show has it all.
