Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2022)
Being Real here.
TMNT has been around for a long time and in every remake the personalities of the brothers stayed the same. In this Movie however they are different. Leonardo for example isnt a leader but more like a rebellious teenager that gets into trouble. Raphael is the Leader here which is fine I mean they both were leaders. April O'Neal has an entirely different personality. The live action Movie in 2016 made this work well but they didnt all have different personalities they had the same as before. This Movie changed all personalities.
My biggest Pet Peeve, Splinter is an old fat rat like c'mon really? This is something I do not understand. You really expect me to believe that The Splinter would let himself go? Has he ever let himself go in any of the remakes.
The Storyline is completely different and it really bothers me.
Now for what I thought was good:
The Animation style is creative and pops out, the comedy isnt half bad. The Soundtrack is impressive something I can for sure bop my head to.
Basically if you forget about this being a TMNT movie and think of it like a superhero movie without any of the turtles and forget the Crang are even there than this is solid and enjoyable.
Id give it a 4/10 but the Animation style is just too good.
We Bare Bears: The Movie (2020)
Hard to understand and follow throughout Movie
In the beginning of the film it starts out with the Bears pretty much running through people causing havoc including a child jumping on a trampoline they pushed off the transpoline at a height that would normally severely harm a child. I understand it a cartoon but its important for what Im about to say. Eventually the bears go to a courtroom and apologize for their actions with the viral stream destroying phones and computers. But instead of an understanding the crowd wants them to be severely punished. Now remember how I said at the beginning how the bears caused Havoc? Its understandable for the crowd to be upset. Thats why its hard to understand the moral of the movie.
This next part further goes into it,
A man arrives taking control of the situation and saying bears belong in nature but show a cage where he wants them locked up to where they cant cause anymore harm. Now taking in consideration the havoc they called this does make sense. Thats a punishment that legitimately would happen for a human being. The crate they were forced in was unhumain and it was very messed up what was going on. If anything Id say the film was about raising awareness of poachers. Not about as the writers say about its okay to be different.
Nothing adds up, the moral does not align with the story what so ever. It just felt forced by the writers and randomly implemented.
Is it a good movie? Yes its a good film and an enjoyable one just ignore all the political stuff and its quite enjoyable. Do I think the movie couldve been better? Definitely!
What I would've done differently,
I wouldve stuck with the plot of the bears being judged by the crowd but instead of the bears at the beginning causing havoc. I wouldve created a clip of the bears when they are little coming across a group of kids and they dont let them play with them because they are 'vicious bears'. Then the story would've planted the seed that its about the actual moral the writers spoke on.
Throughout the story it could show hints of flashback clips of incidents where they are treated differently. Then they decide to run away because they are so hurt by society and come across the social media party that takes place in the movie. Once they go in they see other bears there smiling and taking photos and just being themselves. They get an inspiring speech and back to society to face the issue. They begin a protest and hold hands, saying we aren't scary.
I don't know Im not a writer or a director but thats what I would've done instead and itd really make a lot of sense then.
Free Guy (2021)
Comedic & Immersive
The plot of the movie sucks you in immediately, it has tons of hilarious content and quite a bit of language to watch out for. Ryan Reynolds definitely makes the movie better as an actor but the story I dont really like all that much. The peices were everywhere and the moral of the story didnt make any sense. Theres also quite a bit of Political references and Controversy that may make the viewer frustrated depending. The Majority of the movie takes place in a video game and there is definitely parts that are enjoyable like Guy leveling up is pretty funny and enjoyable. I also do love the cameos I mean its cool!
