Before we go spend a night in newyork with a stranger
6 February 2021
A midnight adventures in New York !

I know it partly drawn lines from before series, some of Allen film's. But it mesmerized me on few amusing moment's. The Telephone to time Machine scene (In before sunset they Both will talk kind of imagainary phones in a restaurant but seriously this is different I loved it). And the accidental singing in scene in a party, hotel graffiti scene, pretending boyfriend one, the ending scenes.

Literally I couldn't take away my eyesight on alice throughout the Film. Even Chris welly managed as a director and actor.

Whats remembered, lives?

Film : Nomadland Director : Chloe Zhao Dop : Joshua James Richards Music : @ludovico_einaudi Cast : Frances McDormand

"If we opened up people, we would find landscapes"
  • #agnesvarda

I'm not the homeless, I'm just houseless not the same thing right !

what's remembered? lives? I maybe spent too much of my life just remembering.

there's no final good-bye, I ever said a final good-bye. I say I see you down the road. then I do. may be week's months or year but definitely will see them. And you can remember your live together.

#Nomadland is a great humanistic and poetic character study that set in West side of American highways, field's, mountains, forests.

#Chloezhao work of Aching beauty, humanity and beautifully captures the restlessness left in the wake of the Great Recession. Somewhere I felt it lacking the emotional depth like other road film's did but #Ludovicoeinaudi soulful music therapy and #joshuajamesrichards landscapes fills that gap.

#francesmcdormand I can't believe she's 63. She's just moving, hustling, driving like a adult. Another captivating performance from her. I'm thinking she still keeps her eye on Oscar's.

kind of loss is never easy? loosing everything is freedom. it's good to throw yourself on a road, you know it's great to be live like a gypsy. I love that lifestyle. the life style about freedom beauty and connection to the earth.

Will see you down the road 🙂 !

Minari (2020)

Simple surrealistic superior so far
30 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Nothing remains forever except the emotions

Film : Minari Director : Lee Isaac Chung Dop : Lachlan milne Music : Emile Mosseri Cast : Steven Yeun, Han Yeri, Alan Kim

#Minari is so simple but it perfectly evokes the emotions no matter whatever problem it is, the situations which they shown in Film is so organic and it happens in everyone's life at somewhere or some stage. it isn't the story about dissolution of two people who love eachother, it is all about the resilience, exploring life, marriages and migrations, love, friendship understanding nature.

#leeisaacchung set everything in a simple and surrealistic manner. It's so specific and detailed, and yet like the best stories feels universal. minari filled with many beautiful moments. Each and every moment you can easily relate to one, which brings you back to time when you were still a kid, unable to do anything anytime you see your parents growing apart. But what even more fascinating is the way lee chug controls the story and emotions of his characters. He never lets the conflicts be too melodramatic or manipulative, every conflict is a grounded.

There's a scene where parents fight, two children retreat to bedroom and build a paper Planes with message "don't fight" here minari really shines.

#stevenyeun #hanyeri so naturally displayed their emotions, perfectly carried the intense entire film like a struggling immigrants. The kid #alankim is amazing.

#lachlanmilne beautyfully captured the essence of countryside fields.

I'm sure it definitely going to bag few Oscar's (Must in best picture and Director category).

Before rolling to the end credits, at the closing shot you're must feel this"a warm hug from someone you've known for a long time." !

Coherence (2013)
7/10
Inventive ingenious smart
29 December 2020
"That's weird. It's you calling me."

#coherence is a remarkable, complicated SciFi bizarre which takes place entirely at a suburban dinner party. It' is a proof that inventive filmmakers can do a lot with a little.

When you provide a good budget and with the help of great idea people can create wonders? Absolutely we can see World Full of #nolan #villeneuve but if you haven't got much budget for your idea? Then film's like #timecrimes #coherence will happens. It's An ingenious micro-budget science-fiction nerve-jangler and not only a smart SciFi but Also a testament to the power of smart ideas and strong ensemble acting over expensive visual pyrotechnics.

The crazy part was it shot over only five nights in a single location with dialogue that was largely improvised. The story took a year to write to byrkit and he wanted to use his own house as the setting of the movie. The set only had 10 members including cast. There were only two cameras used throughout the filming of the movie except 2 or 3 scenes.

Once you started sticking or curious about the movie, it becomes slightly too much like an unfolding mathematical puzzle, although an ingenious one that reaches a chilling conclusion.

Director #jameswardbyrkit told an interviewer, "For about a year, all I did was make charts and maps and drew diagrams of houses, arrows pointing where everyone was going, trying to keep track of different iterations. Months and months of tracking fractured realities, looking up what actual scientists believe about the nature of reality-Schrödinger's cat and all that. It was research, but despite all the graphs and charts, I think our whole idea was that it has to be character-based. We want the logic of our internal rules to be sound, and we wanted it to be something people could watch 12 times and still discover a new layer.

The movie cuts to black at 0:02, 0:03, 0:05, 0:05, 0:07, 0:09, 0:19, 0:27, 0:32, 0:34, 1:06, 1:18, 1:22, and 1:23. The movie's director has said those cuts signify something, but hasn't said what they signify. There was no cut to black around 0:16, which was the point of divergence between realities.although the house was plunged into darkness due to an electricity cut. There was no cut to black at 0:17, when the characters all switched from a house without a broken glass to a house with a broken glass, and there was no cut to black at 0:46, when only Mike switched to a different reality.

He intensionally wanted to make a film that contains less budget and crew. I come from theater where I was trained to really just concentrate on story and character on a stage with actors and so I was craving getting rid of everything, getting rid of the crew; getting rid of script, no special effects, no support, no money, no nothing, and just getting back to the purity of that, of a camera in your hand and some actress (actors?) that you trust and an idea."

Praise the Brave heart's

Film : Soorarai potru Director : @sudhakongaraofficial Dop : @nikethbommi Music : @gvprakash Cast : @aparna.balamurali @actorsuriya

#sooraraipottru #aakashameneehaddhura One of the brave and best attempt Film of the year with limited commercial dosage, you got it? What I meant? Some so called commercials directors simply choose the necessity or suffering plot from common man, while addressing or dealing with it they walks in the wrong path or they wrongly represents for business purpose. But here she doesn't took any wrong paths or doesn't added any masala dosage. If you seen the above conversation with his father? I was literally awe? Man it's written by her? A lady? Just imagine if someone else dealt with that situation by adding unwanted stuff.

#sudhakongara is calm and focused in her. She always tries to extracts the bad or wild phases from her actor's. And her flawless writing, sense and sensibilities, scene constructions, sentiment, sharing the equal importance to male and female characters. I think she's learned that from her master #Maniratnam sir. I'm sure she's going to bag few more awards in this year.

#suriya #aparnabalamurali Dominating performances throughout the film with due respect of the length. And she's equally performed with Suriya. I think that is Sudha strength writing strong female characters. The intensity in his eyes, the energy, aggressiveness in his evry move We missed this Suriya from ages, finally she brought it out welly by showing shades of suriya.

#nikethbommi saturated colours, cool and composed frames #gvprakashkumar clumsy Vibrant sound tunes added much intensity, impact on building #marara

I have only regret Missed this classic or blockbuster on Big screen ! It deserves a theatre release.

A must watch and best film in suriya career.

Best twisted plot

There's no bloodflow but still it's violent

Film : The Skin I live in Director : Pedro Almodovar Cinematography : José Luis Alcaine Music : Alberto Iglesias Cast : Antonio Banderas Elena Anaya Marisa Paredes Jan Cornet Roberto Álamo

What is the most terrible horrified films you watched? Until unless watching this film I was decided it is #Oldboy and #Incendies but now This one also joined in the Club. Really I can't put number's which have to give prior or place it in num one position !! I was started predicting the plot mean while in the middle for that this guy going to take a Revenge but there Almodovar shows his brilliance how the way he ended his characters that is refreshing horrible and lead to make differences from other film's.

#theskinilivein is a math problem, not a poem. Still, what an elegant proof it is.A meditation on profound themes such as memory, grief, violence, degradation, and survival !

(Pedro Almodóvar worked on the screenplay for almost a decade, and what initially was an adaptation ended up being more of a story inspired by Thierry Jonquet's novel.)It's far away from usual Obsessions of #pedroalmodovar like betrayal, anxiety, loneliness, sexual identity, He mixed up with a science-fiction element that verges on horror.it all looks ravishing and production designer Antxon Gómez and cinematographer José Luis Alcaine. All three men have the gift of investing mundane objects with a unique sheen; here even surgical instruments, about to be used malevolently, costumes and music, especially Alberto Iglesias' music, present a lushly beautiful setting, which is nonetheless a prison and house of horror. He set a new definition for Horror and psychological thriller without any screams and blood !

He extracted outstanding amount of work from #antoniobanderas #elenaanaya #Jancornet #robertoalemo @blanca_suarez @antoniobanderasoficial !!

Tenet (2020)

Most challenging Nolan Film
25 September 2020
Sorry Folks out of curiosity and endless wait I thought it's not going to release here so I watched it !!! I did it !! And I have no regrets except missed this one in theatres. And yet it needs a re-watch I'm sure going to watch again once it hits indian screen's or OTT !

The title is a palindrome, reading the same backwards as forwards.

" You're not shooting the bullet You're Catching it"

" THE inverted sequences, Manipulated time and bullets, guns" "Wind Mills set in middle of the Ocean" Actually the real original nolan Film will starts after 1 hr 23 min and the rest is a ", Nuclear holocaust"

"Not a regular Nolan Film" You have my word and I mean it !

"A visually dazzling puzzle for film lovers to unlock, Tenet serves up all the cerebral spectacle audiences expect from a Christopher Nolan production."

Unlike other Nolan film's it has higher complexity levels With Out loud soud design and Best production values, Pretty editing, Terrific Background Score (Badly I missed the combinations of Zimmer with him) Power packed Action Sequences Specially Backward (Inverted) episodes are stunningly sited shoted created by both Nolan and Hayat!

Welly managed the Prosperous flow with frames by Washington and Pattinson. But the actually problem with Debicki and Kenneth, why a genius craftsman like Nolan would hire stellar performers like debicki, Kenneth for creating unlike chemistry like our Indian commercials do ( Boyapati films Jaggu bhai and Rakul or Vivek-Sneha ) !

There's no doubt Nolan Maama Garu delivered a solid classic with flattered strategies Puzzles but it's lack of logics Unlikely what his other film's did. The Idea was brilliant but not the outline as Savior of world from evil. This time he choosen "Time" as A "Manipulative" Evil. may be the most challenging of Nolan's films to date when it comes to wrapping one's mind around the concepts forming the narrative's foundation: backwards-moving entropy, non-linear thinking, temporal paradoxes.

With TENET NOLAN MARKED HIS DEBUE IN BOND FILMS !

Kaili Blues (2015)
7/10
Beautifully shot
9 September 2020
Kailiblues is like a trance with grace and segues seamlessly between reality and memory.

Time plays in an endless loop in "Kaili Blues," it's internal and exterior landscapes where the old is being torn down in favor of the new, this import heralds an assured new cinematic voices forcing me to constantly re-watch, and reassess, the past. Mr. Bi Gan is far more interested in conveying emotion through visuals and symbols than through words or actions. There's always something curious situated beyond the characters, or on the edges of the frame - outside, a view of lush hills or decaying structures; inside, a piece of art or trash.

Tianxing Wang handheld cinematography often calls direct attention to itself, bobbing and jostling about as they mount. An impressive forty-minute tracking shot that follows Chen and several of the villagers, winding its way through the riverside town, taking shortcuts through alleyways, and at one point indulging in the rarely seen 180-degree vertical pan.

Diamond Sutra explains: "minds... are not minds, but are (expediently) called minds... neither the past, present nor future mind can be found." The same experiences recur across people and across time.

The Purpose of Life and the importance of organ donation !

Film : Ship of Theseus Director : Anand Gandhi Dop : Pankaj Kumar Music : Benedict taylor Naren C Cast : Aida El Kashef Neeraj Kabi Sohum Shah

Human beings are imprisoned in the cave of their own existence, falsely believing the temporary as having permanence
  • plato !

#shipoftheseus An highly (spiritual, philosophical too) intellectual and contemplative, although its occasional tendency to take its abstract ideas on the nature of beauty, identity (truth seeking) and justice. And it ruminate to as much as its characters (death, morality and ethics form part of the struggles of each of the three central characters).

#anandgandhi structure was deeply layered and beautifully intricate.grandly composed with lengthy passages of dialogue and a uniting finale areas that was brilliant, not only his Idea and his ideology too !! the quest to capture the essence of everything where he never compromised the artistic depth for commerce, even for a moment !

#pankajkumar turned each widescreen frame into thought-provoking tableaus.

the balanced tone of #aidaelkashef #neerajkabi #sohumshah who represents real people at the core of these moral tales, particularly Kabi whose physical transformation as the ailing monk is a sight to behold !!

A true revelation film in India cinema !!

But many times I caught to the girls by mistakely leaving my writing mark's in the letter, that's sad part. Later I faced lot of consequences with the guy's who approx me to write letters !

#alicewu the gentle touch of (open minded and big hearted) lesbian realized romance to more about the halfway happiness. Loved his generosity on literature and thoughtful handling of character arc. Wall painting ( Bold stroke) and coffee shop, pond scenes are my favourites !

The Great Beauty

Film : Vanaja Director : @rajnesh_d Dop : Milton Kam Music : Indhira Amperianeni Bhaskara S Narayanan Cast : Mamatha Bhukya Urmila Bhavani Renikunta Karan Singh Krishnamma Rama chandraih

#Vanaja face of freshness and delight !! A timeless beauty which unfolding against an class exploitation that sadly stands still in India !It screened at over 100 film festivals in 49 countries and won 24 international awards 2 nominations.

The line was inspired by child scream being separated from his mom in #sophieschoice but later he stated a study of class distinctions and fading institutions of folk art, old buildings that are collapsing, things which we should be protecting - which are a part of our heritage. Speaking of the need for preservation of Indian culture and heritage, he said that making the film was an opportunity to emphasise the Indian folk arts, too.

#mamathabhukya right combination of intelligence, commitment and talent as well. Her act was touching and believable !

#rajneshdomalpalli gives a detailed sense of place and shows a mastery of story telling. With the help of colors of saris and room decorations, the dazzle of dance costumes and the dusty landscapes, hills and vistas, its oxen and elephants, houses, boat settings.Praise his guts to breaking stereotypes on those days that too new Comer's not with professional actors ! And I loved it the way he Started film with BurraKatha !

#miltonkam was made using natural lighting situations, the colour and saturation quality was excellent. His frames explores, evokes village life with stark authenticity !

Great to see the film in telugu and 16 mm aspect ratio, renowned Carnatic music !

#EebAllayOoo Somewhere I heard "an image is not a moment captured. It is a moment unleashed" It extracted the same.

#PrateekVats recorded the unfolded things and same time fired a satire on distinguish between working class labour in contemporary world.visual metaphors continue to dazzle and disturb, much after the film gets over how humans are holding humans captive.Politics, nationalism, religiosity, bigotry, the talk of gods turning pests, class divides-all are explored in a matter of fact, which makes it even more scathing a commentary on human and social condition.

Follow Your Heart

Film : The Fall Director : Tasrem Singh Cinematography : @colinwatkinson Music : Krishna Levy Editing : Robert Duffy @spotwelders Cast : @leeepfrog Leo bill Robin Smith Justin Waddell Caticana Untaru

#TheFall is Just like a babysitting and listening stories from our grandparents with great grandeur visuals. It tells the self reflexive story of Alexandria through Roy walker. Alexandria adapts each and every character in to her own life And starts seeing the things on their experiences, later rest of the story go through the thing's between Roy and Alexandria.

#tarsemsingh first of all appreciate his efforts while taking the movie in to Hollywood by produced the movie himself. He made the film nearly 4 years and across 20 plus countries, most of the portion where shot in India. Singh's narration walks the line between labor of love and his self indulgence passion. More visually elaborate than the intended recipient story. Tasrem conviction doesn't make logical or traditional sense but it makes perfect simple sense.

You might want to see for the Cinematic Magic of #colinwatkinson powerful Frames (close-ups<wide shots,It gives a feeling like sometimes practical elegiac beyond the romantic). #krishnalevy most effective score #robertduffy #spotwelders montage cuts.

#Catincauntana she is glorious. Literally she delivered a spellbound performance.

#ethanhawke #juliedelpy soulful portrayal by Sharing the great moments together.

It's too complicated to capture the simplicity as it is !

Film : Yumurta Director : Semih Kaplanoglu Cinematography : Ozgur Eken Cast : @saadetisilaksoy Nejat Isler

As I said it is hard to showcase the surrealism !

#semihkaplanoglu work reflects #tarkovsky #satyajitray #kiarostami Any how he impressed with his surrealistic command on writing and making ( framing camera movements aspect ratio ).

#ozgureken emblematic long shots are painterly eye for landscapes and nearly impressive his usage of colours domestic lighting !

When it comes to the situations he created was genuine and organic.A struggling Istanbul poet returning to his hometown attending the funeral of his mother, who hasn't been back several years. He surprised to see the presence of a young woman ( his relative ) who has been serving to his mother last 5 Year's. Rest of the film goes through what is the consequences happened between them.

I was quite surprised to know their intro Scene, she's calling the plant's by their family names who are dead.( That is aunt Zahra, this is your father...later he replies oh good to see my father was blossom )

I was fallen love with #saadetisilaksoy pristine and graceful act. She is the one who stole Complete show with her silence moods and expressions !

Persona (1966)

Duality is Dangerous
13 April 2020
Mask Like Make-up

Film : Persona Director : Ingmar Bergman Cinematography : Sven Nikvist Music : Lars Johan Werle Cast : Bibi Andersson Liv Ullamann

Movie run time was 84 minutes, after completion of the movie I scratch my head more than a hour to get his Conviction. But no use gone through some articles they expressed their opinions but nothing came closer to my understanding.

If we kept the points and perceptions aside I loved Mr #ingmarbergman nature of art form ( theme of duality ) postmodern realistic narration ( reflections, splitting the screen, shadows ) with the help of #svennikvist (close-ups, lighting audacious clicks) #larsjohanwerle ( discordant sound ) Intense emotional drive of #bibiandersson #livullmann !

Critics and cinephiles Called it's a psychological horror but as per my convenience I call it a "experiment"

Bergman said that although he had an idea of what the story meant, he would not share it because he felt that his audience should draw its own conclusions. He hoped the film would be felt rather than understood !

Let's see some cinephiles interpretations on #persona !

Peter Cowie wrote, "Everything one says about Persona may be contradicted; the opposite will also be true".

Marc Gervais has suggested several possible interpretations: "a metaphor of the subconscious or unconscious", "one personality consuming the other", "the fusing of two personalities into one", or "the different sides of the same personality fleetingly merging"

Gado suggested that Persona was "an investigation of schizophrenia, a story about lesbian attraction or a parable about the artist".Elisabet's withdrawal into silence could be her rejection of motherhood, the only role the actress could not slough off. The nurse realizes that she has done what Elisabet tried and failed to do: erase a child

Critic John Simon commented, "This duality can be embodied in two persons, as it is here, but it has a distinct relevance to the contradictory aspects of a single person". If they are one person, the questions exist of whether Alma is fantasizing about the actress she admires, Elisabet is examining her psyche, or the boy is trying to understand his mother.
