Robots (2005)
It's alright!
The movie Robots is an alright movie for kids and adults. It seemed slow at times but was kept up in part thanks to the comedy of Robin Williams. The movie had a lot of adult context in it to keep the adults entertained while the animation kept the kids entertained. If you must go see the movie I suggest not getting your hopes up for a great movie, I was quite disappointed when the movie was over because it just didn't seem to go anywhere. Like I told my friend there is only so much you can do with robots. I was really hopping that all the other characters would be funny just like Robin Williams but it was far from it. the one thing that is cool about the movie is for the robots they have that old 50's type of style to them which is pretty sweet. If you like a movie that is partially funny you'll like Robots.
Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004)
Best Action, Science Fiction, Horror Movie Of The Year
Resident Evil: Apocalypse is the best movie I've seen this year. It's a non-stop movie from start to finish. The movie take place where the first one ended which is good because it combines the first movie to the second which explains the first one better of how everything got started in the first place with the research of the T-virus. This movie had a lot more action, comedy, and heart stopping scary scenes where you know something is about to happen but you don't. Resident Evil even had as some one said in the theater it's that scary girl from the first movie, but this time she was real and go figure she was the first with the T-virus developed by her father to make her walk because it does reanimate dead cells. The movie also had good fight scenes with the two main nemesis the guy that started mutating at the end of the first one and Alice. Yet, of course, love beats the hate they have for each other because Alice and him remember each other.
The best thing is that Alice lives, stronger then ever and the Umbrella Corporation continues its studies which leaves it open for another great sequel!
Collateral (2004)
Good and Packed
Collateral is one of the years best movies. It did have its poor slow spots such as the beginning and the ending. The movie had one of the poorest endings I have seen in some time. If you forget about the beginning you remember it through out the whole movie because they continue to go back to it. The movie has its dumb spots too such as the cops pulling him over because of a broken window and he says he hit a deer. I don't think a deer is going to jump onto the top of the car if you hit it and the front of your car isn't damaged. All in all if you want to see a good movie with straight up killing mixed with some comedy Collateral is the movie for you.
Lightning: Bolts of Destruction (2003)
"Lightning" the future
Lightning: Bolts of Destruction is a film made for television in special effects wise. The story line is one that you see in most weather movies. It's the dark side of nature at its brightest. The movies links the past with the future and the present on different planets. It's a must see for any weather fan.
The In-Laws (2003)
A funny film
This is one of the years best films. I laughed from beginning to end. Douglas and Brooks are a comedy team not to be messed with. The best thing is you have a person of high power who has a secret of his own that makes the character even better then what you think he will be. If you have to see one movie this year let it be The In-Laws.
Tuck Everlasting (2002)
Great Movie
Tuck Everlasting is a movie for the whole family. It's based on the book by the same name. It's about this family by name of Tuck who discovered a spring of youth, and a family name Foster. It's a love story of love and life as a whole. I would say this movie is a must see for anyone who likes a movie like a book with the way movies used to be.
The Four Feathers (2002)
It's good if you like the movie!
The Four Feathers is a great movie that has love, deception, backstabbing, war, and friendship. The movie takes you through a time when everything had to be governed by England and if you were in the arm and were sent to fight a refused you considered a coward. Harry the main person in the film is one who accepts the feathers and to prove to his friends and his girl, that he is not a coward he goes to the Sudan to help them with all that they may face with the enemy. If you like movies that involve a good story I would suggest seeing The Four Feathers.
John Q (2002)
A excellent suspenseful drama
John Q takes you on a journey of a family crisis whose son is suffering from a heart failure. There are a lot of twists and turns that leave you laughing, crying, and loving the one's you care about the most. I think this movie is good for anyone who loves and cares about people. It really makes you think about what really goes on with doctors and HMO's.
