Sinphony: A Clubhouse Horror Anthology (2022)
Sinphony was a wild ride
Sinphony is a fun anthology all tied together by a song. We get different writer/director styles to experience, and I really enjoyed that.
I'm all for a good supernatural element, and I will agree that some of the segments aren't as good as the others. I still had a wonderful time watching this.
I do hope that we get to see some of these segments turn into full fledged features because I think some of them have real promise to do so.
If you have the time, I would highly suggest checking out this new Clubhouse anthology. It's nice to see new voices and talent get the option to put out their shorts.
Revealer (2022)
Low Budget 80's Goodness
It's pretty simple. You've got a good cast, fun story, 80's setting, and all the neon lights you could ever want. This has lovecraftian vibes, but it really hinges on the back and forth between the two leads. Caito and Shaina have wonderful chemistry in the film. You're not going to see tons of kills or gore because this is more of a character study between the two. The comedy worked, the horror elements popped, and a lot of care went into the making of this film. I would highly recommend this film to others. There's also a one off comic book tie in, which the nerd in me just loves. PS. We need more queer horror. Indie horror is really thriving this year.
The Summoned (2022)
Entertaining and worth your time
I saw this at Overlook and enjoyed it. It's a slow burn tale ending with a wild finale. Humor sprinkled throughout. This film might not be for everyone, but I was entertained from beginning to end. Beautifully shot, wonderfully acted, and a fun script.
