Prey (2022)
Phenomenal CGI
The plot was like any other predator movie. Big bad alien to kill. This movie felt fresh in the sense of it being in the times of a native tribe.
The cgi and Action scenes were top notch!
Day Shift (2022)
Feels like a classic horror/sci-fi movie
There's a lot of action and cool stunts.
The plot of the movie is basic and unoriginal.
The cast for the movie was done flawlessly and Dave Franco is great in his role!
Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
The best Thor movie to date.
This was a great mix of action and comedy.
The two before we're too dry and the one after this movie tries pushing the comedy part too hard.
Looking forward to watching this again.
Resident Evil (2022)
I guess I'm weird because I liked the show...
I throughly enjoyed the show! They did a good job mixing flash backs with the present time. The actors could be annoying at certain points but for the most part it was a solid plot and had some intense action scenes.
Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
Too much comedy.
Thor use to be an action movie. This felt like a lot of forced comedy and jokes to the point that made Thor seem stupid.
The story line had a lot of potential.
Jurassic World Dominion (2022)
A great way to end the series!
Every Jurassic park/world movie are predictable due to the same plots but with slightly different factors.
This movie seemed very slow at some parts and then very fast at others.
All in all, the wrapped up the ending very well. Giving the new cast and old cast great endings was all a fan could hope for.
Jungle Cruise (2021)
If you enjoy the Disney Attraction you'll enjoy this movie!
You have to take this movie for what it is: a family movie that can be corny but funny.
Emily blunt kills it in every role she plays! She does a phenomenal job of proving she's an adventure in this movie!
The Rock, well... it's the rock.
The CGI in this movie is incredible! The plot is easy to guess with a few minor twists.
Worth watching at least once and maybe twice!
Midsommar (2019)
Definitely worth watching!
Midsommar is a masterpiece. The beginning of the film is kind of slow, but if you enjoy a suspenseful movie you'll love this one! Warning: very graphic.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Best movie of 2021
I feel as if this movie was overlooked since it was an Amazon Original. No one talked about it until it was too late.
Beyond one do the best movies to have been released on the past few years!
Storyline is great.
Action is well paced.
CGI is phenomenal.
Chris Pratt was amazing (again)!
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021)
Watch for the action, not the story.
Action was really well done. Suspenseful parts throughout the whole movie.
The storyline is very basic and barely addressed.
Would recommend watching once if you enjoy the RE series, but this is not a re-watch movie.
Love and Monsters (2020)
Shocked at how much I actually enjoyed the movie!
After watching the trailer I thought, "I'll watch this because it's a movie I've not seen." So expectations going into we're not that high.
The movie has a lot of cool and interesting elements, some have already been seen before in other movies, but some original ideas that added a new style.
By the end of the movie I found my self invested in it more than I would've thought when I started.
It's worth watching!
Army of the Dead (2021)
Slightly better than mediocre.
I watched this movie with no expectations, which was probably the smartest thing I could've done.
Here's my issues with it:
1. They gave a man over as a sacrifice and in doing so the alpha zombies just let them go. Why is that even a thing? The zombies should have tried to take all of the humans captive. It's weird that they were content with the one and then let the humans roam freely through their city.
2. The daughter was pointless. Everything in her role was there just to add the dynamic that this was a movie about a father trying to win the love of his daughter back. It would have been way more interesting if they focused only on the heist.
3. It was way too predictable. You could easily figure out who would die and when they would die. There's only one character that surprised me in their death/survival.
4. Seemed slow and then rushed. It never had a good steady pace. It went from nothing happening to everything happening at once.
5. A zombie hit shot in the face to reveal it looked like a robot. Why? Why do we need robot zombies? Is zombies not enough?
Things I liked:
1. I give them credit where credit is due. The idea of a city of zombies and having to pull off a heist was a good idea. In the year 2021 it is hard to think of an original apocalypse idea, so I was excited about that.
2. There were a few really intense action scenes. Even though they were highly predictable.
3. They had a good dynamic of characters (excluding a few) that made it interesting! The actors and actresses did a great job of meshing and making it feel realistic.
Overall score is a 6/10. Wish I could give it more but it really doesn't deserve anymore..
A Quiet Place Part II (2020)
BEST SEQUEL EVER
I am a big fan of the original movie and was slightly nervous about this one since the first movie was created to be a stand alone. This was beyond great. The acting was flawless, the suspension was through the roof, and almost everything lined up with the first one.
As a huge fan, my favorite parts of these movies is how much time is put into the little details. This movie had a few flaws that would only stick out if you are like me looking & admiring every little thing.
I am already planning on going back to watch it at least two more times in theaters.
Happy Death Day (2017)
Exactly what you hope for!
I went into this movie with no expectations because I figured I'd be let down. To my surprise, the movie was really good!! The plot line is somewhat basic when compared to how many other movies have the same style of the days repeating, but they did a great job making the movie feel original and fresh. It has a sort of teenage comedy style to it that makes it super entertaining to watch.
A Quiet Place (2018)
GREATEST MOVIE OF THIS GENERATION
Where do I begin l?
The acting in this movie is great. John and Emily's relationship in real life is shown through the movie and made evident. The plot is very original and a great take on an alien invasion.
The amount of minor details that were put into this movie is just astounding. I have seen this movie at least 10 times and every time I rewatch it I see something else that I missed before.
If you haven't seen this movie yet, you most likely live in a cave. If you live in a cave, I highly suggest you watch this movie!
Zombieland: Double Tap (2019)
A great sequel made better by Zoey Deutch
To preference this, I have been a lifelong fan of zombie land. The movie came out when I was young and I watched it countless amounts of time. So when they decided to finally make the sequel, I was very hesitant. The movie has surpassed all of my expectations and has made me watch through it multiple times.
I have been a fan of Zoey Deutch for a decent amount of time now. I believe she is one of the best female actresses in today's world. She solidified that statement with her role as Maddison in Zombieland 2. She makes a lot of the money feel upbeat and fresh.
The writers did a great job with the script by keeping the same quirky humor that we all fell in love with during the first movie.
I highly recommend this movie.
Ready or Not (2019)
A good movie to watch once.
The movie itself is a very clever plot bug was rushed. The ending is nothing I expected it to be like, but that's all I can without spoiling anything.
You can't go wrong watching this movie once. It is not a movie you will most likely want to watch over and over, but it is a solid one or two watch throughs worth of good content.
Our Planet: Behind the Scenes (2019)
A must watch for nature documentary fans!
I have always been fascinated with nature documentaries and wonder "how did they get these shots?" Well if you have ever wondered that, this is a must watch for you! I have already watched this about 5 times! It is amazing!
