Dunki (2023)
Tape Recorder lautane aaya tha, 25 saal tak idhar hi ruk gaya
This movie is made with heart, but proves to be an imperfect and disjointed labour of love by the end.
The acts put up by each artists have veteran touches about them, but the narrative jams and flows.
As is with comedy, the punches that land make you giggle but the ones that don't leave an awkward silence across the hall. Still, the silver linings lie in the subject, the acting, the impeccable music and the magnetism of Shah Rukh Khan.
Note: Go for it if there's a shred of tension in your mind and this movie might just flush it off, it has that kind of effect, make you forget about the world for a while.

Babylon (2022)
Babylon: A love affair that excites and delivers
Unlike what a lot of critics have said, it's not an escapade nor is it exhausting. It is a rebellious look at the revelries of the Silent-era in Hollywood. Countless stories run their course, unhurried, each with an end that stays with you and colours the dichromatic screens.
It is beautiful and haunting in equal measure. Pensive and celebratory too. It is an ode to the love for cinema and the fleeting boats, those that work on it, are on. An absolute classic that people will keep coming back to, to be ensnared by it's beauty, to praise the work of Damien, Brad, Margot, Calva and the team. It is a tribute to all the Conrads and Nellies that had their meteoric highs and deathly lows, but will always be remembered, dining at the table of apparitions for eternity.

The Tashkent Files (2019)
Hard to ingest, unfortunately for all the wrong reasons.
As cinema lovers we seek to give critical and objective considerations to each and every piece of art as and how it deserves, something open for each individual to decide on their own.
For me, the narrative is severely disjointed, incoherent in its delivery and seriously lacking in definition. There are a thousand things we can talk about at any given point, all of them important, but we choose to go ahead with only a few at a time to make sure that our point gets through, so that we show due respect to the chosen topic at hand. This film fails to do that or so it doesn't even appear as trying to be respectful to the topic at hand.
As for the technical constituents, the track shots are laughable, acting displays are thoroughly inconsistent with only Pankaj Tripathi's, Mithun Da's and Pallavi Joshi's portrayals worthy of praise. A veteran like Vinay Pathak has scenes which are so badly written and shot that it makes you want to fast forward through them.
On similar lines, the movie is hard to sit by and reaches insurmountable heights of pretence. I really hoped it would be better.

Villains (2019)
Totally skippable
The film has an attractive cast but it really has a thin plot, silly characters and doesn't flow at all. The acting abilities of all those involved in the movie are good but the movie neither grabs the viewer's attention nor does it pays off the viewer's earnestness. All in all, it is a skippable effort.
Into the Wild (2007)
Beautifully Flawed
Once It starts to flow it never stops. A wonderful Story and Filmmaking at its best.
