Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)
Did Lucas really write this episode?
After watching this much hyped movie, I was left wondering - did George Lucas really write this episode as #7 of 9 30 years ago? It felt more like a remake of the first film, A New Hope. Or was it left that way when JJ took creative license? Whichever it was, I was sorely disappointed in this movie and will be the first of seven that I will not watch again. It lacked everything. From the time I was young I watched the first 3 lots of times. I heard about the 9 episodes that would someday all be made into movies and couldn't wait for each. All Star Wars fans will likely still want to watch for themselves, just set your sights a little lower so you won't be so disappointed.
C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America (2004)
Worse satire I've ever seen
I can't say enough bad about this joke of a film. It has taken stereotypes to extremes.
The writer obviously knew nothing about what the War of the States was about, taking only the false premise that it was all about slavery (and nothing else) and expanded on that as the main story line.
The CSA seceded from the USA, not invaded it. The Constitution of the Confederate States also outlawed slavery. Something this film missed entirely. Just to name a couple of inaccuracies.
This actually could have been a fun endeavor had they had not been so biased in their views of what it might have been like. This is worse than a Saturday night live script. And the fake commercials have imaginary products that are so revolting I could upchuck. The entire film in centered on what slavery would be like today in the writer's eyes.
Don't waste your time as even the attempt at humour is sickening.
Crossing Jordan (2001)
Crossing Jordan is canceled (2001-2007)
Episode 6-17 was supposed to be a season finale when NBC decided to cancel the series altogether. They then made a few inane changes in order to make it be a series finale. It was done in a very shoddy manner, leaving people hanging and leaving many irritated fans.
It had all the makings of a very good season finale with the story to continue in the fall. For whatever reasons (unknown as of this writing) that NBC decided to cancel, they apparently felt no loyalty to the fans to make a real series finale.
Six seasons is a good run for a crime drama, but NBC could have a least used a little talent to wrap it up.
