Das Boot (2018)
Season 1 was solid but 2 and 3 were bad
As a big fan of the original movie and a history geek I was looking forward to this show.
I wish they would've stuck to the u-boot story rather than multiple story lines that lead nowhere. Does anyone actually care about the "on land" story? This gets worse with series 2 and 3. The whole plot of season two ends super abruptly. Characters die without explanations, plots don't move on. What happened to sams father? What happened to Frank Strasser after they get to America?
Season 3 introduces new characters yet again but we really don't care about them because we know plot lines lead nowhere.
The writers tried to cramp almost every WW2/Nazi story possible into 3 seasons.
It should have focused on the submarine story and that's it.
Stranger Things (2016)
I used to love the first season now I hate the show
Season one was brilliant, even season 2 was good. But now I couldn't even force myself to finish s4 as I'm just not invested at all. The dialogue is cringy and boring. Jokes are on sitcom level by now. The show should've ended after the second season.
The Devil All the Time (2020)
Everybody dies
They all die. That's it. Movie introduces character and they die one way or another. Even the freaking dog dies. No survivors. If you like death you'll like this movie. If you like the lord, you might not like it. As simple as that.
Orphan Black (2013)
First season was brilliant then it went downhill
The first season was bloody amazing. Unfortunately the following seasons went more and more absurd and the plot changed so much it was hard to keep track. People weren't really introduced properly
Bonusfamilie (2019)
Bad copy of the original
Why the need to copy everything and remake it?
The original show is far better
M - Eine Stadt sucht einen Mörder (1931)
Timeless movie that's still scary in 2019
An underrated masterpiece that'll send shivers down your spine. It can definitely keep up with newer thriller movies. Even after almost 90 years it's still amazing
Joker (2019)
A Masterpiece
I had great expectations for the movie, but they were exceeded. This movie is a true masterpiece. From the A+ acting of Phoenix to the cinematography and the music, this movie got it all right. I don't think I've ever seen a movie this tragic and this intimidating. It's full of surprises yet you feel as you could predict Arthur Flecks next steps. It makes you want to cry and give him a hug but at the same time he's the kind of person you would try to avoid. Contrary to many reviews I do not think it glamorizes mental illnesses, on the contrary, it addresses them in a different, more realistic way. Anyone who suffered from mental health issues knows how hard it feels to act "normal" and how people judge you for your behavior. Neither do I think does the movie glorify violence, people who think so have clearly never seen any action movies. Joaquin Phoenix is playing the role of his life in this movie and finally gets the recognition he deserves. Overall a genius movie but not made for the faint-hearted.
