Nana (2006–2007)
10/10
Outstanding characters, outstanding series
15 October 2023
Nana is a series, where you get to really know each and every character with their flaws and strengths. If it's love or hate, you really understand them because they are so well fleshed out.

It makes them feel so real that every interaction between them hits you hard, if it's in a happy, funny or sad way, often it's devastating.

All that is only possible with the brilliant character writing from Ai Yazawa.

The songs are phenomenal and how they integrated them in the openings/endings is wonderful.

I can only hope that the story will continue and find its conclusion someday.

One of my all time favorites.

Ahsoka (2023– )
9/10
Star Wars as it should be
4 October 2023
Star Wars: The Clone Wars was the series that I grew up with and that made me fall in love with Star Wars and Ahsoka. With Rebels, Dave Filoni could continue his work with another incredible show.

Since Ahsoka is my favorite character of all time, I was both nervous and confident in Dave Filoni's ability to maintain the same level of quality in her show.

In the end, it's more like a season 5 of Rebels, which, as a Rebels fan, I really appreciate.

After Boba Fett and Kenobi, this feels like Star Wars again. The different planets and species, the lore, mysterious and interesting characters/places/story, beautiful visuals, exhilarating action and emotional/impactful moments.

One standout aspect is Baylan Skoll, shrouded by mystery and experience, he's already one of the best characters in Star Wars, also because of Ray Stevensons's perfect portrayal (may he rest in peace).

Thrawn's return in Star Wars is sensational. Just like in Rebels, he's calm, intimidating and always several steps ahead.

Ahsoka is as exceptional as ever, grappling with her past decisions, she confronts them and learns to accept her regrets.

All other characters were great too, while some have minor flaws, they're overshadowed by their developement and actions.

To see the reunion of the ghost crew onscreen is just wonderful.

Ahsoka is a fantastic and compelling show with a few imperfections but a lot of greatness.

What an amazing start in this new show House of the Dragon.

Already so many interesting characters, amazing soundtrack like always and great cinematography.

Got so many Game of Thrones feelings.

I can't wait for the next episodes to be released!

French Cinema
20 August 2022
Cléo from 5 to 7 is such a beautiful and touching film which captures 1 hour 30 minutes from the life of the french singer Florence "Cléo". In the fear of death, the film follows Cléo in different situations with different people. The cinematography is stunning from the first second to the very last.

What a beautiful piece of french cinema.

Light and Shadow
12 July 2022
Obi-Wan Kenobi has so much light and so much darkness. Be it the writing or the scenes with Obi-Wan and Darth Vader. This series had some of the best Star Wars scenes I have ever seen but at the same time it also has some of the dumbest.

It is not a perfect series, that's for sure, but as a Star Wars fan I am thankfull for these incredible scenes that Obi-Wan Kenobi has given us.

MCU meets Sam Raimi
5 May 2022
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is so diffrent from any other MCU project before. You can see Sam Raimi's handwriting all over the film. I like that Marvel dares to show more brutal things in the last projects. Now with Multiverse of Madness and Moon Knight. It was a very refreshing new style of Marvel film, I really enjoyed it.

The Batman (2022)

The symbol of fear
4 March 2022
The Batman returns to the big screen, darker than ever. The shadow isn't Batmans greatest ally anymore, he is the shadow. Batman isn't the symbol of hope, but the symbol of fear.

This film does not have to hide from Nolans Dark Knight trilogy. This is a dark and epic Batman detective story, it captivates you from the first frame to the very last. Cinematography and visuals are peak cinema. Matt Reeves along with the whole cast are amazing. I'm all in for a Robert Pattinson Batman trilogy.

Beautiful in many ways
13 February 2022
Heaven Official's Blessing is my first donghua (chinese anime) that I've seen. It is such a beautiful show. I love the story, the different characters (especially the chemistry between Hua Cheng and Xie Lian is amazing) and so much more. Can't wait to see more of this!

Interesting other direction than the first two seasons
10 February 2022
I really like the fact, that the Psycho-Pass movie goes in a different direction than the first two seasons. Although it isn't as good as these two seasons, especially not as the first one. So here we see the situation in another country, where the Sibyl System isn't quite as established as in japan. A really interesting topic makes this really good movie.

And yeah I always love to see Tsunemori and Kougami together.

Feels Breathtaking real
26 December 2021
This is one of the most impressive and shocking war films, and films in general, I've ever seen. Breathtaking how real this feels. All performances, especially Andrew Garfield's, are phenomenal.

Fantastic work from Mel Gibson.

Arcane (2021– )

worldbuilding at it's best
23 December 2021
For me, a non League of Legends player, Arcane came out of nowhere and it didn't really interessted me. Now, after I watched it, it's one of my favourite series I've ever seen.

The worldbuilding and character introduction in the first two episodes is phenomenal. Followed in the next episodes by an amazing and heartbreaking story/storytelling and some of the best character developements I've ever seen. On top of that is the animation on point with extremely good fight scenes.

I love every single thing about this show.

Great characters
22 December 2021
I never was a big fan of Hawkeye. He was nice but that's it. Therefore I didn't had any hype for the series. But from episode to episode I was more and more suprised. The balance between good action and character drama/developement was great.

Kate Bishop is wonderfully introduced and her arc is great too. Also the chemistry between Clint and Kate is amazing. Clint finally became the Screentime he deserved.

This was one of the most impressive cinema experiences I ever had. Spider-Man: No Way Home really had it all. I still have no words for what I just witnessed.

Amazing.

Outstanding
29 November 2021
The second recap, of the episodes 13-25.

The 57th Expedition Beyond the Walls is one of my favourite arks in the series. Though it wasn't carried out as good as in the series due to more cuts and different/less music it still is incredible.

Killmonger is one of the greatest villains there is. Great backstory which makes the characters actions very understandable.

Michael B. Jordan gave the performance this character deserved.

Incredible.

An astonishing work
3 November 2021
One of the most beautiful and astonishing Marvel films. The pace is a bit slow but I don't mind that much. Some interessting characters with great actors. I'm curious how Eternals will fit in the future of the MCU.

Being a mad scientist
24 October 2021
Steins;Gate is from the first episode on great and still it gets better and better.

As the first episodes are for the character establishment and developement, the rest is a phenomenal story amazing told with twists at every corner. Because of the perfect character establishment and developement you feel every emotion which the characters are going through.

Mayuri Shiina, Kurisu Makise and Rintarou Okabe are amazing characters, they made me laugh and they made me cry but especially they made me love Steins;Gate.

Genius
14 September 2021
The first 25 episodes of Death Note are simply insane. The mental fight between L and Yagame Light is something I've never seen before in that intensity. They are both such great characters so if either of them wins you will be sad for the other one. The last 12 episodes were still pretty good but just not at the same level as before. But the ending was really great again and a worthy one.

8 September 2021
One of the most beautiful Marvel films as of yet. On top of that are the visual effects and the fight scenes top level. It will be interessting to see how Shang-Chi will fit in the MCU and whem we will see him next. And btw Wong is a legend. But yeah I should probably go now...ooor...
