Winter Sleep (2014)

A five five

Cant say I enjoyed the movie because my ass hurt, and "it" is my best critic. It looked more like a French film, with all that bla-bla-bla. But as critics say when they do not like the movie, the picture is very beautiful. I think that curiosity about how people lives in Capadocia counted a lot for the final note of this picture, not to mention a Palm D'or. The plot doesn't tell us why such a great actor took a young and beautiful wife and went to live in such a place. Well, i suppose he was a great actor, but when he questioned his sister about a play he worked and she said she didn't watch it, lead us to believe that she never went to a theater to watch a play performed by his brother. I really love to watch movies "not English spoken", when they come to theater usually are very good, this one was just boring. All in all I didn't sleep, so i hope the other critics can forgive me.

A movie you must see
4 November 2007
Do you want to know the truth, the whole true and nothing but the true? So, try to view the Brazilian real version of this excellent movie. I live in Sáo Paulo, our slums are more easy to control than in Rio, but a reality persists not only here and in Rio as in most of the countries where drugs are assuming, more and more, a leading part in crimes, police corruption, deaths and so. Medium and high classes are really guilty for all this process, they buy and use the drugs, and that is the most important message this wonderful picture show us. Even in north-American movies we can observe the rich parties where cocaine and other drugs are naturally accepted by everyone. The movie is very good, Wagner Moura, Capitao Nascimento, can be ranked as a great actor and all the extras made their parties so real that we have the impression that the events are really taking action at that moment.

A movie you can see again and again.

Yesterday (Dec 15, 2001 I saw "Intersection" (with Richard Gere and Sharon Stone), so, I immediately wanted to see the original and ... there is no place like home. I went to a Blockbuster and, once again, the original is much better. Try to see it and you wont regret
