Wilfred (2011–2014)
8/10
I rewatch this show at LEAST once a year!!!

I watched Wilfred as it was airing live on TV, I remember seeing the ads for it and was definitely intrigued. Plus, when I'm a fan of someone ( Elijah Wood) I watch pretty much anything and everything they've ever been a part of. And Elijah Wood tends to choose really great projects... anyways Wilfred is NOT for everyone, it's not meant to just be a simple comedy like The Office or Parks and Rec, this show is much deeper and more complex, it's not just that Ryan seems a man in a dog suit so we see a full grown man on the floor wrestling with the vacuum as Ryan is trying to clean, but the show really dives deep into the "why". Why is Ryan seeing this, and no one else can and what does it all mean exactly? It's full of intellectual substance and life lessons that actually make you think, and honestly I'll pick up on things the more I rewatch it that I didn't notice the first time, and I LOVE that. It definitely gets raunchy at times and there are some pretty dark and or heavy jokes that probably "offend" some people. But I think the writing overall is absolutely genius, it's real and very honest and the actors themselves help make that happen with even the smallest of details in the choices they make. Whenever someone tells me they didn't like Wilfred, I just think that's because it's an intelligent show which is meant for intelligent people. ;) haha but almost every person I've recommended this too has loved it! Exceptional writing on a fantastic, original and very creative subject, the acting is top notch, even the editing and music are great. This show overall just makes me happy and there's times where I just crave watching it, which like I said usually happens at LEAST once a year.

Breaking Bad (2008–2013)
10/10
I rewatch this show AT LEAST once a year!!!
5 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Should Unequivocally and unilaterally set the precedent of what a perfect show should be. I have seen every minute of interviews, behind the scenes and even the several hour long writers guild panel of all the writers of this show. The more I watch and learn the better the show becomes. Even learning that the writers had no idea what Walter would use the machine gun for when they wrote that episode just goes to show you the audacity this writing team has, writing themselves into corners which forces out the best and most creative ideas is GENIUS! I mean even down to choosing New Mexico, which is the perfect location... the show would be completely different had it been set in LA. I mean the entire breaking bad team and all their choices are impeccable! As far as the acting?? Good god! I don't think there is a single cringeworthy scene when it comes to acting, I also learned things like Aaron Paul after shooting for the day would stay dressed as Jesse and go into town and hangout in dark alleys and bum cigarettes from other addicts and converse with homeless people just shows the level of commitment Aaron Paul has to his acting and not oh boy does it show. I often judge an actor based off how real their "cry" is and how much I can feel it, and man towards the end of the show when Todd shoots Brock's mom and Jesse is watching from the car, go and watch his crying and listen to how blood curdling his scream is, it's soo real I get goosebumps every time I watch it. I could go this deep into every single character in this show I mean some of the monologues Bryan Cranston has are just complete perfection. "I am the one who knocks!" Goosebumps AGAIN!! You really fall in love with these characters and even root for them in a way, all while they are doing completely unethical things. And the ending was perfect. I've always said from The beginning taking a writers perspective there are really only two options for ending a show like this, Walter white either gets caught or he dies, the latter being the better option in my opinion and he does surrounded by lab equipment with a grin of satisfaction on his face and of course while the perfect song is being played... oh and the cinematography?? Jesus it's just perfect EVERYTHING is, I could go on and on and on but I think I'll leave it here. Perfect show in every way imaginable, will continue to rewatch this show like I said at LEAST once a year sometimes more probably for the rest of my life! Thank you Vince Gilligan and the entire Breaking Bad Team! - your biggest fan!
