Big Trouble (2002)
Think. Fun.
This movie was a blast with the fun intricate little jokes that connect and pop up at just the right time to make an hour and a half of brilliance. There's a slew of actors that all have a reason to be respected,(save for the star, no problem with him, he just doesn't demand respect) even Johnny Knoxnutz played the part of the stupid dirty criminal well, which brings me to how great each of the characters in this film is. The under-spoken bar owner(You don't know him anyway), the innocently trusting Puggy(Jason Lee), the outspoken Arthur Herk(Stanley Tucci), Martha Stewart... If you wanna have fun without having to put your brain on the end table and filling your empty cranium by shoving popcorn in it through your mouth, but you could if you wanted, this is your flick.
Stick It (2006)
Gratuitous Wedgies
I'll watch almost any movie, plus the fact that I like muscular girls in unitards... But 'Stick It' blows. There were more terrible jokes than a Troma film. But it's got it all(that you learned in writing class), comic relief, betrayal, characters going through changes, more characters going through changes, forgiveness, changes, but for an original twist, throw in a very Hardcore kid who NEVer CURSES, PUNK ROCK SUCK STYLE!!! I'm 2 for 2 on awful movies, but there is a good difference; One had explicit, badly used, stock footage of real tribesmen eating things that shouldn't be eaten and being really sick and gross(it was 'Hell of the Living Dead', a terrible Italian horror flick). The other had gratuitous wedgies... one I can live with.
Out for Blood (2004)
Better Dialogue than Star Wars III
School is not always necessary, some people are just born with talent, and I'll give it to Kevin Dillon, he's got talent enough to act his way through this piece of crap, but he's alone. The screenplay, directing, other actors, and the costume design, all atrocious. Character development is non-existent, Dillon's character never experiences a change, everyone takes that first step into the script, and just stands there, spouting out terrible dialog in an unconvincing manner. Though, these people only had so much to work with, even Samuel L Jackson's acting was bad in Star Wars III, though the dialog in that movie was worse than this. Oh, the special effects, those are nice ...I've done better morphing by waving my hand in front of my face and changing a smile to a frown. Though, right now, I'd like to make an excuse for the director, he doesn't know what the hell he's doing, we can give him that much, huh?
