Ocean's Twelve (2004)
Dull movie
This was the most confusing movie I had ever seen. I wonder why they turned the brilliantly made Ocean 11 into an awkward 12. Very bad editing and direction. It seemed like they had just put pieces of films together and let the viewers figure out the sequence.
Too bad good stars act in such bad movies. One of the weirdest part of the movie was when Julia Roberts, who looked like she had just recovered from a deadly disease (what makes them think being that much thin and skinny is beautiful?), plays Julia Roberts.
Well, if you just want to see big Hollywood faces in a Dullywood movie, then go and waste your time and money.
The Sweetest Thing (2002)
Horrible
There was nothing sweet about the "Sweetest thing". And the film was not funny at all. Why does a film have to have dirty language and sex to be funny? It doesn't. Hollywood is not very good in comedy. It's too bad Camren is choosing such films. She did a better job in "Vanilla Sky", than this horrible movie.
Roti Kapada Aur Makaan (1974)
A good movie with little flaw
If compared with other Indian commercial films, Roti Kapada Aur Makaan does not have much flow.
I'm not sure about the status and the financial conditions of the Indian singers at the present time. But this film indicates that, during the 70's, even the best singers would get nowhere with their talents.
In this film, Manuj Kumar is a singer with a legendry voice (Mukesh), yet he has neither fame nor money.
If talented singers did make a good living out their arts in India during the 70's, then this is perhaps the film's big flaw.
But overall, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan is probably one of Bollywood's few films that actually makes sense.
The direction, acting and story line are superb. The songs are related to the story, and are always inspiring to listen to.
Most Bollywood's films are hardly watch able, but it will be a pleasure to watch this one more than twice.
Fiza (2000)
Good film
Although still had a taste of Indian commercial films, Fiza was a different kind of movie. The story line and direction were good and the actings were super.
Herithik is obviously made for films. His look and talent is all what is needed to become a movie star. It's amazing that despite being his second film, he perform so powerfully. Unlike Shah Rukh, whose acting is artificial (one can tell he is perforimg for the camera), Herithik performnce is very natural. Shah Rukh has lost the rank.
Krishma did a great job and Jeya bachchan showed she has the ability to perform, and perform so powerfully.
Fiza has its flaws. A lot of things are unclear, it still has unneeded scenes and songs.
It also had flaws like most indian flims
