Lost Souls (2000)
This movie was pretty damn cool
Lost Souls was an awesome movie. It had everything; good story, great acting, and spectacular visuals. This movie is not the exorcist for the new millenium, nor does it try to be. I know many people will say that the ending is just stupid but it's not. Although it's not the greatest ending, The rest of the movie makes up for it. If your in search of a late night movie look no further
2gether (2000)
What is this crap
When I saw the commercials for this movie I thought it would be pretty funny since boy bands are really dumb. What I saw was boring, unfunny, and really really stupid. The only thing this movie did was bring a new boy band into our world. They took bad out of work actors, put them in a movie, and made them famous from the first night the movie aired. Avoid this dumb piece of crap
Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995)
I thought it was really good.
Why don't people like this movie, it was one of the better sequels. It may not have been the best halloween but it certainly was the scariest. I liked the fact that they explained a motive for why Michael kills and his mask actually looks pretty good compared to the one in 4 and H20. This is refering to the theatrical version. If anyone knows where I can get the Producer's cut please contact me at JawbreakerJohn@AOl.com. For the people who thought this movie was dumb and pointless you are obviously not a true Halloween fan
Urban Legends: Final Cut (2000)
A very decent sequel to a new cult classic
I didn't know what to expect when i walked into the theatre today. I loved the original and was waiting to see this one even though it got horendous reviews, but so did the first one.
What I saw was a very good sequel. Some of the scenes weren't too original, but that didn't matter. It was full of enough scares and gore to keep me very happy. It wasn't too hard to figure out who the killer was but it was confusing at times and the people i was with were pretty stumped.
The last scene when the credits were getting ready to roll was the best part of the movie. they have to make a third.

The House of Yes (1997)
Family dysfunction at it's funniest
I first saw a preview for this film about three years ago and had thought it looked like a very interesting movie, but I soon forgot about it. On February 4, 2000, I saw scream 3 and noticed what a great actress Parker Posey was. I had seen her previously in Dazed and Confused and she was absolutely hysterical, so I wanted to see other movie with her in it. That is when I remembered the preview of the house of yes. So I rented it, expecting a few good laughs. What I got was one of the funniest dark comedies ever made.
It starts off simple enough: A sister waiting for her twin brother to come home for thanksgiving (did I mention that she is obsessed with the Kennedy assasination and wears a copy of the outfit Jackie Kennedy was wearing when her husband murdered. And, oh yeah, she had sex with her twin brother when they were in their early teens). Anyways, she his disturbed to find out her brother is brining a friend home with him. He also happens to be engaged to this friend. Jackie O.(Posey) does not take this news too well. She is actually p****d off royaly (I almost forgot to say that she spent a quite a while in a mental hospital when her brother left).
You'll have to find out the rest yourself. It is worth the rent. And surprisingly, Tori Spelling is tollerable as the brothers girlfriend. This also features a great supporting cast including Freddie Prinz Jr., Josh Hamilton, Genevieve Bojould, and Rachel Leigh Cook as Posey's younger counterpart.
Jawbreaker (1999)
Best teen comedy of the 90s
I was blown away when I first saw jawbreaker in February of 1999. I just couldn't get over how amazingly good this film was. A refreshing break from all those PG-13 rated romantic teen comedies. We need more teen comedies like this and other dark comedies like teaching mrs. tingle and drop dead gorgeous. Congratulations to a job well down by Darren stein and the cast especially Rose Mcgowan. I almost punched my t.v. when she lost best villain at the mtv movie awards. This movie is a cult hit and needs the wide audience it deserves. Tristar pictures didn't know what audience to direct this at. It should play at midnight shows around the world like the rocky horror picture show. Everyone who hated this movie can kiss my ass.
