The Crow: Salvation (2000)
It Can Stand On Its Own Merits
Aside from the general crowd yelling"crappy movie", i see some quality in this movie. Alex gets his markings in a new way and i like them. It also introduces a younger crow. The only bad character in the movie is the lawyer. He plays a character who believes that Alex can come back from the dead. Its just too unbelieveable. If only this movie was given a chance...
X-Men (2000)
Came to my expectations..
As a long time comic book fan, I looked forward to the movie. And it fulfilled my expectations. My favorite character is Wolverine and Hugh Jackman fit the role, even if he was an Aussie. Tho i was disappointed that Sabretooth barely had any lines. This is one of the best comic book adaptations next to Batman and The Crow. I look forward to the sequel.
The Crow: City of Angels (1996)
Good movie on its own..
Obviously, many fans of the original movie did not like this supposed sequel. At a glance, it does steal the same plot points. But when i first saw it, I saw it as its own movie. I may not have lost a son but i can feel what Ashe feels. The only bad point of this movie is the addition of Sarah from the original.
The Crow (1994)
Brillint work from the late actor..
Conceived from the graphic novel that James O'Barr wrote, the late Brandon Lee portrayed rocker Eric Draven brilliantly. He was to give the character a sensitive side when he was fatally shot accidentally by Michael Masse, who was devastated whe he found out. It was on the casts wish to finish this fitting tribute to Brandon Lee. Sadly, tho it may have been his untimely death that led the crow to the many lower quality sequels and to a less respectable place.
