The Practice (1997)
Probably the best show on TV
As I live in the UK we have only seen season one, which is usually shown at 2am, but I loved it. I'm a big fan of Ally McBeal and when I watched this I knew straight away which was the best. I can't wait to see the other seasons!
Can't Hardly Wait (1998)
The BEST teen-movie EVER!!!
I was recommended CHW by one of my friends and I thought that it wouldn't be as good as all the other teen movies that came out last year. I hadn't even heard of it. However, when I watched this movie I fell in love. It is one of the best I have ever seen!
If this was released in 1999 rather than 1998 maybe it would have gotten noticed more. This reminds me of how great high school was and the party after it.
The characters are great! William(Charlie Korsmo - the kid from Hook) is the best in this film especially the Paradise City bit. Kenny(Seth Green)is also one of my favourite characters in this movie.
Another great thing about this movie is the supporting cast. (many of them are uncredited)Mellisa Joan Hart is hilarious as the yearbook girl and Breckin Meyer as the singer from the band.
If you haven't heard of this film or have seen it somewhere, buy it or rent it because you won't be disappointed. I have lent my copy to all of my friends in college and they have all said that it is the best teen movie they have seen.
The Wedding Singer (1998)
Great fun
Although this is not Adam Sandler's best (Happy Gilmore) this has got to be the second best. The soundtrack is amazing and the characters are so funny. The bit with Jon Lovitz has got to be the best. If you are a fan of the 80's (like me) and if you like Adam Sandler movies (like me)then you HAVE to watch this film!
Hudson Hawk (1991)
Bruce at his comedic best
I first seen this nearly a year ago and I'd heard so many people say that it wasn't worth watching. However, when I did watch it I couldn't believe how funny this movie actually was. This isn't your average cat-burglar movie (they time themselves by singing)and many people I know just didn't understand it, but this has got to be one of Bruce Willis' best movies ever! There are SO many good one-liners (how am I driving, 1-800 I'm gonna F%*$%*£ die) and Richard E. Grant plays a great villain.
If you are a Bruce Willis fan watch this movie because I promise you it is one of his best! 10/10
Eerie, Indiana (1991)
This shouldn't have been cancelled
Eerie, Indiana is usually shown on Channel 4 in the hollidays in our country and I never miss it even though I have taped most episodes. My favourite episodes had to be the ones with Dash-X(Jason Marsden). I was upset when I realised there was only 5 or 6 in that series and it was then cancelled. There was so much that wasn't answered, for example, where did Dash-X come from? Why did he have grey hair?
This is The X-files but for kids and don't watch Eerie Indiana The Other Dimension because it doesn't have what the original series had (it doesn't even have any of the original characters). So if this is on TV watch it and see for yourselves that this is a good and entertaining show that shouldn't have been cancelled.
Dawson's Creek (1998)
What has happened??
I have watched DC since it first aired in Britain and I loved it, for a while it was my favourite show. I could relate a lot to the characters and I thought Kevin Williamson could do no wrong. Then came the second series. It started off OK but towards the end it got too dramatic and by series 3 I stopped watching because it was a waste of time! Why do they use such complex language I was that age three years ago and I never spoke like that and I still don't. If the characters are meant to be realistic then why can't they speak properly. Even the characters are starting to get annoying. Dawson speaks too damn fast and is just too melodramatic. Pacey was a bad then went good and now his bad ways are back (the last I heard.)Will this guy make up his mind what he is doing?! Joey. I feel if was to write how annoying her character was I'd need a lot more than 1000 words. Firstly,CHEER UP YOU MISERABLE PERSON!!!! What has happened to Jen? She used to be this wild-child who was rebellious, etc, etc. Now she's a cheerleader! Doesn't that go against her morals or something? The Jack thing. It was a good story line when it was first introduced, but I think now it has dragged on too much. Will DC ever be the same? And will Kevin Williamson ever write an episode of this once great show? I sometimes find Buffy more realistic than this pile of crap!!!!!
