Versus (2000)
The Undead are No Longer Unarmed!
This was one of the most entertaining movies I have ever seen! Non-stop action in a frenetic mash of martial arts mania and zombie gore. It's easy on the Eastern mysticism, but heavy on Western weapons, and with effects that will make you cheer. This one is worth the effort to obtain on DVD. Infinitely re-watchable, you'll love every blood-dripping second again & again.
From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money (1999)
Worse than the original.
As you can tell by the summary line, I'm no big fan of the Tarantino scripted original, but it shines in the face of this effort. This second sequel, made back to back with the third, attempts to cash in on the profitability of the original movie. In a nutshell, this movie stinks! Really badly. No care or continuity has been taken in the writing. The endless use of pointless P.O.V. shots really grate the viewer (although, I'm sure the crew had a much worse time having to waste their efforts on such shots as an elevator button P.O.V., etc.) The effects are abysmal.
But you've probably already seen this movie. You know how bad it is. What I'd like to know is how can we convince the industry not to waste their money on poop like this?
The Seven Deadly Sins (1999)
7 sins, 7 short stories
Something for everyone in this movie, although for my money the "Anger" segment is worth the price alone. Azlea Antistia plays unsatisfied housewife Beth. Transforming into a foul-mouth vamp, she provokes impotent husband Dan to prove his manhood. In a change from the normal adult movie roles, the man is belittled, chastised, & insulted on his bedroom performance. The result is hilarious, with Azlea giving one of the best performances I have ever seen in the adult genre.
Beavis and Butt-Head (1993)
Add another voice...
On the other side of the Simpsons coin are Beavis & Butt-Head. The first is a sit-com, the second a sketch show. Both great, both now sadly overtaken by South Park (in terms of popularity, not quality).
Paramount, please give us a DVD or two! VHS sucks!
With a Mike Judge commentary/interview & other extras/rarities if possible (Unlike your other DVD releases)
Sure, they mightn't "market" as well as the South Park stuff, but if you can sell the B & B videos, you can certainly sell the DVDs.
