Carefree (1938)
ha ha
this is one of my favorite fred astaire/ginger rogers films. it's highly amusing how she toys with him at the beginning of the film, and then once he begins hypnosis, they have one of the best dance scenes i've ever seen between them. as always, their magic together is astounding.
Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000)
plot?
if you are looking for a movie with deep plot, this is not the film to see, but if you are looking for a film with some excellent car chases, and good ideas, then it is the film to see. i thought this movie was excellent. nicholas cage was awesome and suave in the same aspect during this film.
Strangeland (1998)
Not so bad
It all depends on your taste for film. Indeed, Strangeland isn't action packed like so many other movies, and it doesn't have tons of gorefest scenes, I do give credit to Dee Snider for coming up with something different. He covers a subject that is a major concern in society: chat rooms. Of course, it is a little one sided, but thats a movie for you. I personally thought it was ok....
Blood & Donuts (1995)
not the greatest, but different
i admit, this film does have many flaws; however, it is weird and artsy in its own way. although gordon currie only has practice in films like puppetmaster, this role gives him a little room to try acting. he is the most bizarre vampire i think ive watched on screen, which to me makes it somewhat of a decent film. like i said its artsy, so beware if you dont like those kind....
The Crow (1994)
my favorite
i did love the comics, but the movie captivated me from the moment i saw it. despite excellent performances, the soundtrack itself is excellent as well. brandons performance was his best, and really a tragedy we wont be able to see more of what he was capable of.
