Ridley Scott has always encountered us with other worlds, he likes to create his arena from scratch, in this case the arena is the ancient roman empire, but sadly it is inhabited by more virtual people then toy story. It is a great loss that this great tale and well acted story suffers from this modern desease called cgi, the time of great masses of extra's (real people seems to be gone. now we have to asume that those awkward moving people are real, the movie suffers from it! And why does these days everybody has to have a deathwish be reunited with their family in the afterlife (startrek generations had it, end of days had it and so does gladiator) it makes it look a little bit rediculous. but the rest of this movie is so impressive that i'm still giving it an 8.

finally someone who dares to take a b-movie script and combine it with intellect inside jokes and an a movie budget to make a masterpiece that gets better everytime you see it the entire story is strange and very renovating sience fiction, this is as renewing for sf-cinema as was citizen kane for general movies! how many stars can you give? it's never enough!

this is my fav movie of all times

i actually liked this movie about two woman who decide to live together out in the desert near the place where there busted boyfriends are located. a movie about idealism and it's power in time of need. this movie is also known as mojo flats (at least that's the title the video cover had for it).

recommended for people who like road-movies, this looks like a light version of Thelma and Louise.
