My favorite animated show
27 July 2000
This show was very good in my opinion. The lessons were valuable and there was also a lot of fun in the storylines. Especially the romantic tension between Wheeler and Linka was good, they liked each other but never acted on those feelings. Well... never? Wheeler often tried to approach her and, although she rejected him just as much, she cared for him a great deal. Whenever he was in danger, she freaked out.

This show was excellent in teaching kids and older people how to be an environmentally conscious consumer and they also provided lots of tips for other problems that occur in these days. Though some episodes were less than others, I have enjoyed the entire show very much. I am an adult (having known the show since I was a child) and I still like it.

Missing Hans too
20 July 2000
The Belgian TV channel VRT 1 (formerly BRT 1) is currently airing series 6 of the show and it no longer features Hans Geering. Now that I have seen the first series and the half of the second on Dutch TV channel Veronica, I realize how much fun Hans added to the whole thing. So I totally understand how terikinsaul from Mesquite, TX feels. Geering was a bit silly but that was what made him so funny. I also miss him, very much. I don't know why Sam Kelly left the show and probably never will but he was one of the people that added more fun to the whole. Especially the "tler" in "Heil, Hitler" was fun to me.

Truly great show
11 July 2000
"'Allo 'Allo" is a great British product. The main characters, Rene and Edith, are nice, as are Lt. Gruber (who carries a torch for Rene), Colonel Von Strohm and Captain Geering. Richard Gibson is great as Herr Flick who is in love with Helga but whose position prevents him from acting on those feelings. But the true masterpiece on this show is Officer Crabtree, the vowel-mangling gendarme. He is wonderful! He always makes me laugh and it is always a joy to see him. It is marvelous acting!
