L.A., I Hate You (2011)
A kick ass movie!
From the get go you know that Yvan Gauthier is really one of the new director on the markeplace to follow and invest in. He knows with a very efficient style to lead you and wild ride through the seedy and visceral streets of Los Angeles where broken dreams are the daily reality of many. You will see L.A as you have never seen it before and you will learn to "hate L.A" as well. Yvan put together a maverick cast and you will find yourself fall under the spell of the evil Malcolm McDowell in no time. For sure "L.A I hate you" will become a cult classic and is sure to kick asses at the box office whether it's with a theatrical release or a video/cable exploitation. Watch "L.A I hate you" right now....before I hate YOU!
Coursier (2010)
"Taxi" on a scooter! Brilliant!
This high adrenaline driven ride will keep you on the edge of your seat and totally breathless! Great directing and great acting with some sweet moment of emotions as well. This production from Europa shows one more time how the Europa team has good taste and know how to package a sure commercial winner vehicle. Even so the movie didn't perform that well in theatres, for reason beyond my comprehension, Coursier will for sure achieve high sales on video and TV. Let's also salute the work of Hugo Bergson who signs his first production. Bravo to you all and don't forget your helmet for the next ride in Paris...when can we expect Coursier in Los Angeles...ideal for a remake!
The Lion and the Mouse (2009)
Saved by the mouse!
To understand politics one has to understand and listen to the stories of History. In there lays the truth about where we come from, who were and where we will end up. Such is the beautiful canvas of multiple social, cultural and political realities crafted in this perfect enlightening movie by Lucinda Spurling: "The Lion and the Mouse". And I want to put a capital M to Mouse because this film is the deep realization of the capital role played by Bermuda in maintaining through the ages the thin geopolitical and economical balance between two continents: The "old" Europe and the "New World" aka The United States of America. The Lion and the Mouse is a tale of courage, of endurance, of strength showing us we just can never give up our Dreams and that no matter what is the challenge, Life is all about over- coming, over-defeating any and all of your inner and outer Fears. As one we stand, as one we save, as One we ARE. We are all a Lion and a Mouse, a lost Angel and a God, Light and Night, all reaching for the infinity of our Destiny.
28 Days to Vegas (2008)
What an experience!
You're sure to be taking off on a magic carpet and travel to the far end of our world while watching this brilliant documentary by one of my favorite filmmaker. This movie makes me want to have my wife give me a private belly dancing gig. Dwell into the Vega stripe and around the world to discover a true Art form. Documentary are a tough exercise and Rick Elfman makes it through. In a world where it's so easy to let yourself down, 28 days to Vegas put a smile on your face and make you want to wake up, stand up and go to discover the World. Words are not enough to describe this film so since it's truly a masterpiece, don't hesitate to buy it, watch it and live the dancing belly dream!
