In the King of Prussia (1982)
I was surprised
20 years after watching the film I stumbled across it again on IMDB finding that already 6(!) people had voted for it. I was surprised, because I always considered this movie important and very substancial.
In 1980 the so called "plowshares eight", some religeously motivated peace activists entered a nuclear warhead facility (sounds incredibly easy) and damaged warheads and spilled their own blood in protest against the nuclear arms race.
The movie covers the trial, in which the plowshares eight were convicted to 5 to 10 years in jail. Even if you believe that these people deserve some kind of punishment, you will be surprised by the proceedings and the outcome. The plowshares eight played themselves during the breaks of the actual trial. It took them 10 years and several trials to regain their freedom.
In the King of Prussia is a very impressive semi-documentary. A true story that can make you speechless.
Meet the Feebles (1989)
early hints of a master to be
all one need to say about "Meet the Feebles" is that "no puppets were hurt during the making of this film."
If you think that's funny, you have found an excellent film to watch. If you don't get it, leave it, you won't like it anway.
Thanks

Gangster (1999)
Too funny to be a german movie
"Gangster" is an unusual german movie. It is funny.
Vincent, a born loser, just out on probation has lost his new girl friend in a poker game to a pimp, probably not the best start for a relationship. But he will make up this minor problem by robbing a cash transport and buy her back.
So much for the theory. That her father is a corrupt cop is not exactly helpful anyway. This movie explains hilariously why neither police nor organized crime have won the battle yet. Because all of them are so stupid maybe?
Stay Tuned (1992)
Commercial TV is hell!
A TV-junkie is sucked right into his television, where he has to fight for his life in a number of soups, chat shows and movies. It turns out, that hell just looks like real life TV and the devil is getting his soul, if he doesn't survive the next 24 hours. With the support of his family our hero walks through everything boring, terrible and senseless in American TV.
Watch out for the small details or better watch it twice. You will like this movie, when you enjoyed too: "Driving over Miss Daisy", "Perverted Camera", "Unmarried with Children" or "Wayne's Underworld". And don't touch that remote control!
