American Psycho (2000)
About The Ending (Spoiler)
Everyone seems to interpret the ending as "everything only happened in his head", as in the Hollywood-twist-end-cliche. But that's not the only possible interpretation. Isn't it much simpler to think that the lawyer made a mistake? All along the movie the characters mixed people's names, they thought they were talking with someone else...The point is that no one cares who is who and it doesn't really matters, because they are all the same. So my interpretation of the movie is that the crimes were real, that Paul Allen was killed by Bateman and the lawyer was wrong.
Of course all the movie has a fantastic, unrealistic mood, but if we interpret every unrealistic story as only a character's dream, all the works of artist as Terry Gilliam, Tim Burton, the Cohen Brothers or David Lynch would be "only a dream"....
The Omen (1976)
not THAT good
This movie disappointed me for 2 reasons:
-The plot is pretty weak and full of holes. (Spoilers!!) What was the nanny talking about before she jumped? Who was the priest, why did he had the mark, what was his relation with that archeologist guy and why didn't he told everything to Peck's character instead of sending him to Israel? And oh yeah that grave thing was simply idiot. The evil italian priest should have hided the bodies, not buried them with names and dates on an old cemetery where the graves would be immediately noticeable. stupid.
- The music. It's great, chilly music. Alone. By itself. But in the picture it's just annoying. Too loud, too omnipresent, too much. You can tell what's going to happen because of it. A good film music is a music you don't notice. There were moments when I just wanted the music to shut up so I could focus on what was going on.
Les trois frères (1995)
great french comedy
This is an excellent comedy by "Les Inconnus", it was very successful in France and I recommend it to everyone that knows a bit about the french culture.
