Pierrot le fou (1965)
Goddard. Enough said.
Goddard has demonstrated the free form film. A project without structure. The free range cinema that does not make any promises to the audience. The only consistency it keeps is that love is beyond human control. nothing makes linear sense and every moment is more important than the last. You do not think about what has happened before, you just keep going forward and see where it will take you. This film is an experience, whether it being good or bad, that I would reccomend for anybody who has a curiosity about free form film making.
Traxx (1988)
The worst movie ever. Period.
The worst movie in the world did not come from Edward D. Wood Jr. or during the low budget drive in horror movie period of the fifties, sixties or eighties. It came from video tape. It came from the man who was the announcer of Hollywood Squares and the infamous man in those damn Federated Electronics commercials. This man was Shadoe Stevens.
Los olvidados (1950)
One of the greatest movies ever made.
Bunuel has shown here what unlimited creative freedom and a little bit of fleeing from a fascist dictatorship can prove. It can be thought of as a cinematic ancestor of Kids, Romper Stomper, A Clockwork Orange, and other tributes to juvenile nihilism in modern cinema.
My score: Oh who cares! Check it out and judge for yourself.
