The Mentalist (2008–2015)
9/10
intelligent new show
19 November 2008
The mentalist is no doubt not an original concept, and yes, it might be somehow related to Psych. The show does distinguish itself from Psych with its new and unrelated material. The series literally takes you on a ride as one feels involved in the investigations with every episode. The haters of the show should ease up. This is good old detective work, which relies on careful crime scene observation and a bit of suspect manipulation, as oppose to the science ridden crime dramas which bombard our television sets every evening. No disrespect to C.S.I. One more thing that struck me, has anyone else noticed the number of 24 alumni appearing on the show?? Up until episode 7, we have had 4 alumni, Steve Culp, Xander Berkeley,Gregory Itzin and Leslie Hope. I wonder who is coming up next........ Catch the show for its wit and fun, if not.....check it out to see if Jack Bauer shows up to help The Mentalist.....

The Net 2.0 (2006 Video)

Lemme re-write it.....
17 March 2006
This movie gets a very low rating from me. Its not that i don't appreciate low budget, straight to video movies, believe me I am an advocate for such efforts. The script was lacking originality and character. I have to say i didn't even like the first movie, Sandra Bullock just did not fit the profile in that movie. What was so dumb was the woman (Hope Cassidy), woman could not disguise herself, comon now...she was in Turkey, she could have worn one of those black attires that cover from toe to head. Lets just hope this is the last in the series, coz i don't think anyone will be able to stomach another sequel. Perhaps a horror version of the movie, bring in Wes, he can come up with something. Pass on this one if you can, change the channel if its on cable.

Orwell's presence felt
16 March 2006
I had the distinct feeling of reading George Orwell's 1984 when the movie started. John Hurt as the chancellor did not help either, this time taking the role of Big Brother. But back to the V for Vandetta, it is an example of a good start to movies this year. The movie scores high in all categories, acting, drama, action, choreography, props and scenery. The movie draws you in and makes you identify with the impacts of the totalitarian society that is depicted. I have to say that Hugo's voice is just remarkable, it gives the character of V some originality and comes out believable. Natalie Portman needs to eat a bit more, but she did look sexy. All and all, i loved the movie, it had the fun and seriousness that should be included in all movies. Brilliantly done and a must see.

Chaos (II) (2005)

Could have used a bit more action
16 March 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoy movies with twists, this one had it all, even though predictable, none the less it was fun. This movie should have received a wider release, as it was unique compared to all the action movies coming out. I was really looking forward to a Wesley vs Statham stand off, which never came. Looked like Snipes had some fun filming this movie with other A listers. Given the fact that he has had straight to video releases, he should be respected as be gives all he has to his movies and there is never a dull moment. Statham is still dishing out good acting, sure becoming a likable actor among action fans. Ryan Phillipe just reminded me of Justin Timberlake, for a few moments while watching, actually thought that Timberlake improved from that dreadful movie Edison. All in all, good movie, go watch, 6/10.

He is back!!

Seagal is back in this action packed movie. I am a big Seagal fan, I've seen all his movies and appreciate his ability to act and deliver the goods that his fans expect. I have no clue why this movie is under rated because its a different style which we haven't seen as yet of Seagal. The movie contains basically everything in it, its got the humor, the action, the drama and suspense. The fights are too much computer aided, thats what really sucked but anyway... the movie is worth the money!

Good performance
15 November 2000
Well, i had no clue this movie existed until i saw a commercial on tv. Well i sat down as usual expecting the best from Sam Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones. I got my Dvd worth and the movie was just as good as I thought. Great movies need great actors and these two including the rest of the cast ( Bruce Greenwood . ... Nowhereman (TV) all delivered the goods to the big screen.

Jackson's acting was superb, he is introduced as a fighting machine with greater love for the American army and we the viewers discard his human emotions. The bond between the characters played by Sam and Tommy gives us a whole new perspective of both characters. Good movie, i give it a 8.5 / 10. Go watch it!!!!!!!!!!!
