The Musketeer (2001)
Why'd you give it a 1?
Who really cares about the movie's accuracy? When you saw the previews on T.V., didn't you think it would be pure action/no story? Why'd you see it if you wanted a good story? I thought it had great choreography and good story by itself. Who cares if it didn't follow th book?
Meat Loaf: To Hell and Back (2000)
Great Bio-Pic
Well, what can I say... it was well acted, good story, good pace, music was amazing... it was a great bio-pic. Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman were amazing as a team and this movie portrayed Meat's and their story greatly. Good show.
X-Men (2000)
Good Pic
I must admit I never really got into comics as a kid, but I still knew the X-Men story. This movie did a good job of introducing people to their tale. It probably won't satisfy hard-core fans but it was rather enjoyable for people like me. Hugh Jackman was amazing as Wolverine as was Anna Paquin as Rogue. The only real things I can find wrong with the movie were it's pace (a little slow in parts) and it's plot (a little thin and rushed). Other than that this movie was great, with special effects that were amazing. I gave it an 8.
End of Days (1999)
Good Movie
Ah... this movie didn't deserve the ratings it got from critics. I found the movie very intriguing and it held my attention throughout. I believe there are two reasons this movie didn't receive the reviews it deserves are: 1) It stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and 2) It dealt with religion and we all know how the media hates that. Anyways, I would recommend this movie to anyone who wants to see an intriguing and exciting movie. Just don't expect to much, enjoy it for what it is. An action movie.
U-571 (2000)
It's historical fiction.
I see a lot of comments condemning this movie for it's historical problems. Need I remind you all THAT ITS A MOVIE!! I thought it was highly enjoyable, good plot, and over all well done. I gave it a nine. If you're p***ed because the movie didn't recognize your country, oh well. It's a US movie, then. Feel free to disagree.
Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999)
Great Movie
Austin Powers II: The Spy Who Shagged Me was an amazing movie. Slapstick humor reigns as do double entendre's however a lot of the movie seemed vaguely (ok not so vaguely) the same. A lot of the same jokes were done as were a lot of the same old gags. The movie added a lot though. Mini-me was hilarious, as was a pardoy of Will Smith's "Just the Two of Us," and the addition of Heather Graham made the movie oh so much more enjoyable. I give it an 8 out of 10. Not as good as the original but you'd have to work very hard to beat that.
