Meet the Marks (2002– )
Interesting
21 July 2002
I saw the first episode and it was pretty funny. I haven't even heard of any hype for this show. I just happened to be on the same channel when this came on. Good stuff.

The set is a real house where unsuspecting visitors become the stars of the episode. It's a new wrinkle in the hidden camera genre with a sit-comish edge.

The Parlor (2001)
Funny
21 March 2002
This is a funny satire of the whole chat room thing. An unflinching and painfully hilarious look at the secret lives of the most unsuspecting people. I'd like to see the writer/director of this short to break into feature film. This man is a genius.

Class of 1984 (1982)
Hmmm...
7 June 2001
Good cheesy B-Movie fun. This is a mix between Blackboard Jungle and A Clockwork Orange. It's definitely more fun to watch than crap like "Dangerous Minds," "187," and "Kids." This one at least made me laugh. (It's sequel Class of 1999 made me laugh even more.) I love a good exploitation flick, and when you watch these movies you gotta remember that it's only a movie. (Like the people who think things are just as bad like in KIDS. Get a grip, "KIDS" is just another teen exploitation flick, too. Only more boring.) The final battle at the end is a must-see. Don't forget to check out Class Of 1999 and Class Of 1999 II: The Substitute with Sasha Mitchell!

Guess what....it sucks! (SPOILERS)
1 December 2000
Warning: Spoilers
It was slow, it was boring. The kid was so annoying and we are supposed to believe that Bruce Willis is dead for nine months and no one notices? C'mon you see him interacting with other characters throughout the whole movie. When he's at the apartment (and I get into this argument a lot) YES he is acknowledge that he is there by the mother. She mentions a "30 minute session." And if he was dead how did he get that kids file? He was looking at it in the beginning so someone must've contacted him. It's like they pulled this ending right out of their ***.

This movie has more holes than swiss cheese and even more deceiving than the Blair Witch Project was to people. They could be the same movie actually, both were overhyped, both let me down. But at least Blair Witch project actually had some scary moments.

I give this movie thumbs down.

Video Violence 2 (1988 Video)
If you think not just anybody can make a movie. Think again.
27 November 2000
Shot on a home video camera with amateurish production values. Video Violence 2 is...well Video Violence. Howard and Eli host a pirate cable T.V. show that has a cult following. They air tapes submitted by their fans actually killing people in gruesome ways. And it is supposed to be funny. They even have a commercial for a toy that bites the throats off of children! Hilarious! I actually found this movie (If you can call it that) really funny. They remind me of the stuff me and my friends do with video cameras. Not for the weak stomach, the effects are gruesome. I recommend this for people that has a taste for low budget cheesy stuff.

The Raccoons (1985–1992)
One of the best cartoons of the 80's, next to Transformers of course.
17 October 2000
This was a pretty cool cartoon. It was a little on the enviro side but it was still cool. And you gotta love the theme song. And Cyrial Sneer makes me laugh my ass off! I can't wait to see the other half of the show that I hear about, where they finally win over Cyrial. That would be a sight to see. My favorite character of course is Bert. He's so much more full of adventure than the rest of the characters and is the one that usually ultimately saves the day. So if you want to see some cool Canadian cartoons. Look for this one if you can.

Takes a different course than the other two.
26 October 1999
EVIL DEAD was experimental horror. EVIL DEAD II just plain sucked. ARMY OF DARKNESS is a new kind of experiment. A terrific blend of action and horror.

The EVIL DEAD movies aren't really together though. EVIL DEAD II was kind of a remake and kind of not. (It was kind of confusing) ARMY OF DARKNESS takes place after EVIL DEAD II but kind of changes the ending of EVIL DEAD II.

At the end of EVIL DEAD II Ash goes back in time and is surrounded by soldiers. They say he is the saviour that will save them from the "deadites" and go HAIL! HAIL! HAIL! Ash screams nooooo!

At the beginning of ARMY OF DARKNESS Ash goes back in time and they take him prisoner.

EVIL DEAD is more of an H.P. Lovecraft type story, based on Sam Raimi's test short film Within The Woods. It experiments with Sam Raimi's facination for gore effects he had since he was a kid.

ARMY OF DARKNESS, experiments with horror and action! And the ACTION is really a must see. Sam Raimi can even Jim Varney look like and ACTION STAR with this directing techniques! It is really a style of his own. It sort of seems like he is inspired by Robert Rodriguez because they are kind of similar but far from being the same! The cute one-liners are also a gem.

I actually like this one BETTER than EVIL DEAD. It's more original. EVIL DEAD II is really stupid and makes no sense. I don't like that one. But EVIL DEAD II is where they prepare ASH for his adventure in the third outing.

Why do people try to compare it to the show?
26 October 1999
Ever since that show came out, people have been going back to video stores and renting the movie, expecting it to be a two hour episode of Buffy. I liked this movie for what it is...a comedy.

This movie is a very funny and original comedy. It started the whole action vampire type genre. It has Pee-Wee Herman as a vampire. It has those funny lines and the extremely long death sequence from Paul Reubens.

And then the show comes out. Darker, more serious and with a bigger cult following. Guess what, I HATE THE SHOW! It is so STUPID! When I first heard they were going to make a television show out of this I said to myself GOD!!! And when it became a huge hit! GOD DAMN! It's like what they did to the movie M*A*S*H* it was a VERY funny black comedy and then they made the show with Alan Alda and he turned it into a DRAMA. And that show is more memorable than the movie.

Back to the subject of BUFFY. Funny movie and WAY better than the show. (Which I Hate)

Goodbye.
