Inside a Beautiful Mind (2002)
Cliff-Notes on 'A Beautiful Mind'
I took a look at this on the recently released 'A Beautiful Mind Award's Edition' DVD, and it was just as self-loving as the film. It gave away the entire story, so if you've rented the DVD, hit the second disc after the film. That may seem like common knowledge, but I don't think it really is.
More like an 'HBO First Look' documentary, where all you see are lots of clips, major plot points revealed (though I'm sure this was aired on Cable TV prior to the film's release), and filmmakers talking about how good and different the movie is.
Bad documentary about a sappy, overacclaimed movie from the director of 'Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas'.
Scooby-Doo (2002)
Funny, Witty, and Wildy Entertaining
Scooby is back and literally better than ever. I actually liked Freddy Prinze, Rowan Atkinson got the best role he ever has (aside from Mr. Bean), Matthew Lillard was a better Shaggy than the original. The visual effects aren't too good, but you'll love Scooby more than ever. And you'll laugh very, very hard.
Undercover Brother (2002)
Greatest Gift Across the Races Of All Time!!!
'Undercover Brother' is not only a masterly crafted boobfest, an action movie, a comedy, a social commentary piece, a parody of all good/bad movies. but the funniest movie of the year, if not of all time.
'Austin Powers' is old news, and so much less witty. This movie makes you laugh on so many levels, tears will be flowing. Cast is sexy and brilliant, to say the least. If you don't see it, there can be no sequel, so I will be more depressed than I have ever been, but I will share the inside jokes with my friend and his dad who I saw it with. Sorry if you're a moron and cannot bring yourself--or let yourself--worship this movie. On a more insightful note, this movie pokes fun at blacks and whites in a non-offensive way that brings both of us together with laughter. Unlike Spike Lee's films, which just p*** people off, Malcolm D. has a better idea: Make a movie all people will love, and make it entertaining. Cuz 'Undercover Brother' is S-O-L-I-D.
Thir13en Ghosts (2001)
Easily the Worst Movie of the New Millennium (In a bad way)
Easily the worst movie of 2000-2001!
This movie made money, and it's really sad because it's from the producers of House on Haunted Hill and The Haunting. Complete and utter crap filled with suicide-inducing cliche's of characters, dialogue, gags, and plot devices. It's obvious that this is an outcast movie from Hollywood and I hope it's the last of this sleuth of crap.
Stereotyping of African Americans takes place in this 'film' as well, as the black NANNY, who has many cliche' oneliners in the film that makes me hate the lowlife 'actress' for selling out on her own race. She actually had the last brutally insulting line of the film.
Everything in this movie is stupid, stupid, stupid. Why did I waste the time to write this critique? I hated the movie that much and had to vent. Why didn't I stop watching? You got me. I was bored. I wrote bad at the top because it's not funny 'this movie is terrible!' bad, yet 'this is a sad piece of evidence that Hollywood spends money on unqualified writers/directors' bad.
DON'T SEE IT, LET ALONE BUY IT!
Orgazmo (1997)
Fantastic, Original, and Outrageous Playback Ability
One of the most original comedies I have ever seen. I don't know what it is about Trey Parker's films, but they have some kind of magic behind the comedy that I love. This movie is a big winner. See it, and see it again, and it will grow funnier and funnier.
