Brilliant film that will make you never look at That Girl or Free To Be...You And Me the same way again
3 February 2013
This is an incredible film that should be much more widely seen. The whole tone of the film is much more palatable for many than One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest or Girl, Interrupted or even The Snake Pit. Marlo Thomas is a deft thespian magician in her portrayal of Marie.

I can't say enough about this film. Get it on Amazon video as a rent or buy, or buy the DVD, which is cheap on Amazon.com, and I aim to do eventually. No spoilers here...just be ready for a movie that can make you cry tears of sadness and tears of joy, as well as make you laugh heartily in key parts.

Last thing: Marlo Thomas, without a doubt, is one of the greatest American actors living today. If you don't believe me, just sit down and watch this film!!

Great film---wonderful score, and everything!
19 September 2000
I love this film! It's so wonderful. One of the funniest parts for me is when Lucy and Snoopy box with each other (Snoopy putting the boxing glove on his nose LOL). The Sherman Brothers (a great songwriting team in general) score may not receive a lot of attention by all viewers of this film, but it's terrific.

Especially "Me and you/A two man crew/Side by side we're united" plus the title song and Charlie Brown's solo "It Changes".

Wonderful vintage live action Disney film
14 July 2000
I really adore this film, and greatly recommend it for anyone who enjoys live-action Disney movies from the 70s. It has a wonderful cast, especially Jodie Foster, Helen Hayes, and David Niven. I'm a Harold and Maude fan, but several years before I saw that, I saw Vivian Pickles (the actress who plays Harold's mother) in this movie. It's a really good film for a Saturday afternoon, especially being a mystery.
