The Blair Witch Project (1999)
The success obtained by this film is what scares me most
Every time I watch a bad movie, my first thought is "they could have fed the hungry with all the money they spent making this piece of ...". It's not the case of "The Blair Witch...", and Thanks God for that. This film is the proof that it doesn't take millions of dollars to do a bad movie. Don't get me wrong: for being a film made with very little, and by students, it's not so awful, but what really annoys me, is that they tricked me again in buying another piece of crap wrapped in silk and gold: Good publicity can make you buy almost anything.
Lola rennt (1998)
A movie about time, but also a movie about chances.
Take the recipe: velocity, dance music, perfect timing, lots of imagination, lots of clocks, a good cast, 100,000 marks, a running girl, more velocity, video-clip aesthetics, and...chance. Mix it all up. That's "Lola rennt". Enjoy it!
Chung Hing sam lam (1994)
It's probably Wong Kar-Wai's masterpiece.
By now, it's already a cult film. From the characters to the soundtrack, it all fits together into one wonderfull movie.
Carne (1968)
Isabel Sarli's most famous role.
In "Carne" ( Meat) we find Isabel "Coca" Sarli playing the role of Delicia, a young virginal worker of a meat refrigerating factory. During the film she is raped time after time in the backside of a refrigerator truck by several rude workmates, being rescued a little too late by her boyfriend, the only man capable of seeing her pure soul thru her "delicious meat". A masterpiece of "kitsch".
