Carter (2018)
Love Love Love the show
I always love a good crime comedy, and this is IT! the 1st season feel that they are still figuring out and on the 2nd season you can see there is great dynamic and chemistry between the characters Harley Carter and Dave Leigh. very enjoyable to watch and love the Canadian chill vibe in it but not too chill & slow like the Cardinals. to be frank the Main male Character falling for female partner is very much of a cliche , the best friends chemistry is way better than this sexual tension which is hard to watch.
really looking forward for a season 3
Kevin (Probably) Saves the World (2017)
really great but not much credit
the show is full of imagination and plot, its never one episode i found boring. Jason Ritter is awesome but all the characters really grow on you. i really hope to have more episodes and more season coming. its hard this day to find show that with new ideas. also its also a very comfortable show to watch , just relax and see how Jason & his family interact and getting to know each other better.
The Great Indoors (2016)
not a good humor for the public
the humor of this show, obviously is in the expense of people whom are not very good with the internet and social media. and keep making fun of it making all these people feel awfully stupid. i am not very good with social media and then when i watch the show, i feel the show is laughing at me and saying i am old and stupid. i really don't enjoy this feeling so i am going to stop watching this stupid show. and i don't know how the other feel, it is such a waste of talent for actor like Stephen Fry to be in this show. not only it doesn't fit him at all, the show actually make him seems totally out of place. the other actors as well seems just to be portray as mean and self centered, and yet, they have the upper hand in everything. who will feel good watching such a show?
Van Helsing (2016)
they have to Ghost-buster Van Helsing also
they are just doing the same thing that they did to Ghost Buster , now they ghost-bustered Van Helsing also, what ?! now it is Vanessa Helsing??!!, the first episode is seriously boring. and it took away all the things Van Helsing was so good. all the excitement, all the action.. lets not talk about the plot with so many weird moment on episode one suddenly the action is jumping everywhere without real connection. the guy picking up the knife and the camera spent an awful lot of time on this supposingly it should be a surprise later, but actually not. a weird woman suddenly feel the need to become a brave leader to confront "Vanessa Helsing" . and since when Volcano Ash blocked the UV light that kills vampire?? actually Volcano Ash did the opposite , they release halogens that destroy the Ozone layer actually make the UV light even stronger and that should kill all the vampire instantly.. the whole plot is so stupid.
Signed, Sealed, Delivered: From Paris with Love (2015)
is it the end of the series?
I love this series, every episode really touches my heart deeply and drove my tears crazy. this particular episode is still very good, however I feel like the story is not really concentrated enough on the task they have on hand, but seems like more to quickly wrap up the love affair between the two pairs. the character also seems to be changed a bit, in the previous episodes Shane McInerney seems to be quite smart, pulled together calm strong girl. suddenly became this love sick and angry girl at the end of this episode which i find quite odd. and also i find the character Holly quite confusing and frankly not believable.
Anyway I do wish the series will come back and handle more tasks , which their value and belief intact.
Arrow: Unthinkable (2014)
wrong language in Hong Kong , yet again
Good episode. nice twist at the end. and every episode makes Felicity more likable and make Oliver more annoying, so stubborn! and also i don't like that when the League of Assassins came back to help. i rather The Flash come back to help. because it simply does not make sense .
however i really hate it when people are using the wrong language as background when that scene supposed to be in another country!!
Hong Kong does not use simplified Chinese, and at the end its shown everywhere and make it looks like Shanghai . pls do some serious research before making the background come on!! its really an insult for the local people! for this i give this episode a 3
Mambo Italiano (2003)
good acting and hear-warming
this movie is once again talk about coming out and stuff. honestly the plot isn't so surprising. but the main actor has very good acting and the line are very catchy. which in turns make the movie very hilarious. while there are moments in the movie which are touching and the main actor's eyes really bring out the emotion and make the audiences feel the same pain and joy. and if you have the same experience with the character inside, you will know what i am talking about.
what this movie really touch me is that it makes people realize how much you need to stand for yourself and your happiness in your life. everyone has a little mess in their life but if they are willing to try with support with their family and loved one. it may turns out to the best eventually.
and if you know a bit Italian, it is even more funny about how the people behaves inside the movie.
I would recommend this movie to all the people i know.
Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003)
non stop entertainment
This movie may be a little bit nonsense. but its expected, however it provides so much fun & entertainment factor, its like a female version of Matrix!! its funny, exciting and take your breath away in every single scene. i love this movie, it rules!
Sweet Home Alabama (2002)
Sweet home indeed
wow. this movie is so amazing. it has all the elements i like. i have to say that eventhough sometimes Reese Witherspoon seems to be over-doing it.. but overall this movie is very comfortable to watch and bring you a whole lot of memory. i would recommend it to everyone.
Presque rien (2000)
Really Sad
This movie has a special way of telling the story, at first i found it rather odd as it jumped through time and I had no idea whats happening.
Anyway the story line was although simple, but still very real and touching. You met someone the first time, you fell in love completely, but broke up at last and promoted a deadly agony. Who hasn't go through this? but we will never forget this kind of pain in our life.
I would say i am rather touched as two actor has shown great performance in showing the love between the characters. I just wish that the story could be a happy ending.
High Fidelity (2000)
Tell the stories behind the music.
High Fidelity is basically about a guy called Rob, who decided to find out why he couldn't has an lasting relationship. And the movie using the great music to symbolize all these memories and events as Rob is a huge fan of music and he owns his record stores. Generally the movie is full of sense of humor using music and songs, I feel kind of embarrassed as I, myself don't have enough knowledge of music in understand the deeper emotion the writer was trying to express.
However, High Fidelity reminds me of what I always believe in, which is, music does not only represent itself. Good music is like good characters in a script, they do not make sense without the story plot. We all have our own music history in our life, which every songs do flash back and also represent certain memory which we only had and only felt at that exact moment, that moment we were listening to that particular song. And I guess that's why Rob, (and most of us,) organizes his albums based on the order of memories that related to them.
Ready to Rumble (2000)
It's fun to be a Crazy Fan!
What would you do if you think you are the biggest fan? It's a story about two biggest fans Gordie and Sean went all the way to help their Idol Jimmy King to pull himself together after his major defeat.
I have to say that David Arquette is one of the best comedian in the decade, great facial expression and really "into" his character for this craziness toward wrestling. I can still hear him yelling, "Wrestling is not faaake!!".
However, for the other crazy fans, Sean Dawkins, his character is pretty inconsistent and horribly dull, I kept asking myself,"is he really supposed to be in this movie?" he seemed either totally out of place or just a companion of Gordie. I don't know if its the problem of the script but you just can not feel any enthusiasm from the character.
Basically, its really a great comedy if you are looking for some good laugh and a good time.
Final Destination (2000)
Stunning beginning
When i picked up this video from store i was expecting something liked "scream" kind of movie, but it turned out to be something much better. The beginning of watching Alex's vision, the looks on their face after seeing the crash, all these really overwhelmed me, I almost stopped breathing during that 20 minutes of beginning. I must say the director is brilliant in influencing the audiences in that sense. Although the plot didn't seem as impressing as the beginning afterward, the "design" of death seems to be quite interesting too. So i gave it a eight out of ten.
With Honors (1994)
Very honors of life one can learn..
I wasn't expecting something that good when i saw Brendan Fraser's name in this movie (sorry Mr. Fraser), but this movie is terrific and very inspiring, Brendan Fraser was very good in this movie and actually he remind me someone very important, anyway. this movie told me that one (like Monty) can be so obsessed with what he thinks matter in his life (his papers and such). But Simon Wilder taught him the importance of life is life itself, is to live it with honors. Life is too short to make mistakes and regret.. what i learn in this movie was that one should earn his respect himself and should see life as a whole, not just one happy or one sad day in it. Lets hope that when we died one day we would be proud, because we know we have lived.
