Bringing Out the Dead (1999)
Long and boring
I thought this movie had something interesting to say, but it only went around in circles.
There were some really good scenes in the middle of the movie, involving Ving Rhames. Ving adds another good performance to his career, too bad the rest of the movie was not worth finishing.
Definitely not Scorsese's best by a long shot.

The Trigger Effect (1996)
Lame, dumb, too much of my life that I won't get back.
The movie starts out good, with a decent premise and interesting idea. Then spirals into stupidity. All the main characters in the movie resort to very un-realistic behavior, where they over-react to a situation that is not as bad as they seem to think it is.
Palmetto (1998)
This is a failed suspense movie
The cast is definitely capable of pulling this idea off but the movie is a let down.
The premise starts out quite promising, but does not deliver. Woody's character is way too dumb and you cringe as he makes mistake after mistake.
Raising Cain (1992)
One of the worst films ever made.
I'm sure this started out as an interesting idea, but that did not make it onto the film.
John Lithgow's over-acting works for comedy but not for suspense.
None of the characters in the film were even the least bit interesting.
