On the Line (2001)
So much Potential, but just God Awful.
The charming Lance Bass can do nothing to save this movie, even with help from N'Sync buddy Joey Fatone. The best word to describe the movie is BORING. It's not funny, it's very choppy, and you just want it to end. 1 out of 10 stars
Resident Evil (2002)
Another video game to movie failure
After playing Resident Evil for the Game Cube, I decided to rent this fiasco. I realize that a movie cannot be the same as a video game, so I didn't have that expectation. The opening of the movie if very intriguing, but once the assault team enters it the movie goes from bad to worse. The "evil computer" subplot is ridiculous, the fact that "bullets don't seem to stop them" yet that is exactly how they stop them, and the entire virus plot is contrived. The "scary" parts of the movie where you are supposed to jump are so obvious I didn't even blink. I give this movie a 2 out of 10.
Saving Private Ryan (1998)
Every American should see this movie
This is one of the most powerful war movies ever made. It shows the realism and horrors of war, and whether you like the movie or not, you will have a greater respect for those who fought. Today's treatment of veterans is shameful, but movies like this will open some people's eyes.
