The Land Unknown (1957)
The first movie that ever gave me nightmares!
I dreamed about being chased by dinosaurs every night for weeks! I was five years old at the time (1957) but, what higher praise can you give a movie in this genre? I haven't seen the movie in it's entirety since that memorable night so, my inner child gives it a ten. And high praise to the IMDB Power Search, without which I would not have rediscovered this childhood scarefest. I did not remember the title; my memory had fixed on "Hell's Chimney". Maybe that's a phrase from the movie.
Bravo Two Zero (1999)
Involving military adventure.
Particularly enjoyed seeing the military tactics and procedures used by a small patrol in carrying out their mission and saving their butts. These guys earned their medals. Interesting that women liked this movie more than men (per IMDB votes); Must be Sean Bean.
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
A very enjoyable movie experience; I'm ready to see it again.
Like many people my age (40ish), I read the Trilogy 30-odd years ago, so I am both unable and unwilling to compare the movie to the book/s,nor to compare the Middle Earth in my head to director Peter Jackson's. I was not blown away, but I certainly was satisfied with the movie, extremely satisfied. I left the theater knowing I would see LOTR again, and soon.
