Mother! (2017)
Still don't understand
Even after seeing the movie and reading articles about what it is supposed to be about, I still don't under stand it. It's a tough film to watch and my best guess is that it is an art house type film. Yes scary at times but really full of allegories.
Yellowstone (2018)
Almost perfect
This is a very good dramatic show. It brings wonderful acting from most of the cast and has great character development. My only issue is he casting of Kelly Reilly and Wes Bentley. They both seem out of place and uncomfortable in their roles. Other then that, a must watch.
Cast Away (2000)
A Stunning Film
It's hard not to become emotional if you can put yourself into the characters in this film. What happens when the man you love disappears only to resurface 5 years later? The soundtrack is so perfectly written for the film. It evokes many feelings throughout the film.
Rubber (2010)
I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, or turn it off
Getting past the possessed auto tire issue, an interesting plot with cheesy acting. It could have been much better with more defined character development and stronger story line.
Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
What happen here?
I am always concerned about remakes of classic films many years after the original was released. This film confirms my concerns. It is slow, disjointed and really is a far cry from the original.
I, Tonya (2017)
It wasn't as bad as my rating
The acting in the film is quite good. I would give that part an 8. The down side is the movies massive attempt at painting Tonya Harding in a good light. I still feel she was a great part of her own demise.
Area 51 (2015)
Really Disappointing
I expected so much more from an Oren Peli film. Missed the mark and what could have been a much better film.
Dr. T & the Women (2000)
How can such talent make such a bad movie.
While not as bad as Battlefield Earth, this film is at best full of top notch talent with a misguided plot and incoherent tie ins of all the characters. I am surprised that the actors affiliated with this film actually let it get released. A must see as how not to make a film.
Frequency (2000)
One of the true gems in film making.
This is a strongly put together film with remarkable acting, a good story, and great editing. It is one of Dennis Quaid's best acting performances in his career. The story moves along with mystery and intrigue at every turn. The ending is not easily predicted and it is well thought out. A definite must see movie.
The Storytellers (1999)
A good low budget film.
This film is wonderfully acted by Mitzi Kapture and Tippi Hedren. It presents the first effort of a really good up and coming producer, Renee Roland. The story centers around a young man who takes credit for the writing talents of his Aunt. He is ultimately dicovered but it is an interesting ride through out the picture.
