This excellent film was based on an script by the Master but was actually directed by Jan
Molader, which is the reason it is hard ti find it in IMDB and other sites. It is a TV movie. I saw it today, the image is good but the sound is so, so because the sound format is old. I think. However this has to be one of Gunnel Lindbloms best roles with an amazing performance about a talented woman trapped in a middle class boring and predictable life where husband and wife cannot communicate with one another and have became strangers within their marriage, both feeling a painful alienation. Lindblom's face and acting are a joy to see. The rest of the cast are also very good. If you like Bergman creations this is a film for you.

Dear Mother

Brilliant French comedy

A refreshingly funny film that deals with both slapstick and existential questions, with superb acting all around. Forget Hollywood for a moment and enjoy this French pastry. The title of the film comes from a very famous erotic painting from the Victorian era.

One of the worst films in recent memorya

Why did they make this film? Everything about it is below par, the script, the acting! The direction, the cinematography, all bad, bad..There's nothing to add. This film is a stinker, don't watch it. I feel that several Razzle awards will be forthcoming.
Hell is a place where Swedish humor films are shown

Wildly Popular bur mostly unfunny film series about a group of apparently intellectually challenged burglars who bungle their way through different heists. All characters are stock, the mastermind, the explosives man, the romeo man and the Woman. All make parodies of themselves being very well-known actors , something that is supposed to be funny. The characters are paper thin and there's little dialogue. The action is mainly slapstick and cartoonish, not unlike Tom and Jerry. Drinking alcohol and saying stupid things is supposed to be wildly funny in Sweden with her unfortunate Germanic cultural roots.

Talent wasted
20 June 2019
Pity that Ekman's considerable talent was wasted in these terrible films, technically sub par and with the comic effect based on oafish, drunk and mentally challenged characters. Christendom came very late to Sweden and humor never made it. These films are considered to be very funny in this country. I say no more..
Nightflyers

Watchable in spite of numerous flaws.

The acting is no more than adequate and often over the top. Characters often behave irrationally, make unprofessional/stupid decisions and seem at times emotionally unbalanced or psychotic. - no astronaut selection screening? The science is at times crazy -laws of Physics still apply in year 2093! - and the technology presented is t often questionable or silly, to say the least, e.g. the use of shotguns in a spaceship sounds like suicide and the lack of failsafe mechanisms and the total lack of control of onboard occurrences at the bridge, (apparently open to all crew) and the lack of overall security measures.
The series is obviously very influenced by Kubrick´s masterpieces 2001 A space Odyssey and The Shining among other films. Still, good pacing and good sets and ditto CGI. Some episodes were better than others.
All criticism notwithstanding the series is fun to watch. Bring some popcorn!

Boring

I really tried to like this film but I failed. Action scenes are well made but otherwise the film is clichees, the spoiled billionaire, the tough bodyguard, all men were of course murderous pigs and the stepmother a psychopathic witch, all cardboard figures. A truly boring film.

Better than the reviews

I liked this film. I am a history buff but petty things like names, chronologies, stirrups and lots av anachronistic details do not seem matter in this fun movie that wasn't even filmed in Greece. The Rock is pleasure to see and especially the deconstruction of the Heracles/Hercules myth is enjoyable and humorous. Good acting in this context and good cast overall.
Recommend it as is.

A film to love end enjoy

I really love this film! It is a very satisfying rendering of the novel. I do enjoy every time to see all these great actors at the peak of their careers. Sam Neill and Olivia Hussey are very good. The acting is sometimes a bit over the top and some details appear to be incorrect or anachronistic. For instance, King Richard returned to England for a very short time and then left for France where he died. No matter. This film is an excellent piece of work and worth seeing if you enjoy period film.
Dunkirk
(2017)
Nolan's best work to date. Must see!
19 July 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This must be one of the most gripping and realistic films about WW 2 (not a war film, according to Nolan) ever made. Superbly filmed, edited and acted, it forces you to experience what the people in that decisive event felt, with constant contact with death and annihilation and the desperation felt by several hundred thousand helpless soldiers on the beach surrounded by German troops. The aerial war scenes were magnificent and showed the RAF:s pilots exceptional heroism. An extremely emotional film, a tale of a military defeat turned into a moral victory that influenced the outcome of WW 2 and the world that we live in. Simply a masterpiece.
Piranha 3D

Unbelievably bad and corny
14 December 2011
I had a hard time realizing that this film was for real, that professional people have worked with it and, most horrible, that it was a commercial success in the United States. I happen to be a friend of the US but this, ah creation, puts a strain on the friendship. If it was a comedy then I must have a problem since I found nothing remotely funny in it. If it's a horror film it didn't scare me. Some of the girls looked very good in their Eve costumes but I once again noticed that American girls have a regrettable tendency to improve on their natural endowments, something that makes me think of dairy producers. Still, I was truly fascinated by the pure bad taste of the film. It was almost poetical in it's badness, wicked people "fornicating", drinking and enjoying themselves and then getting "punished" for that by the fish... A true Dante-an Inferno, albeit in a very infantile level... all the naked, writhing bodies and the fish, The Fish.
