Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism (2004)
Great Points, but Could Have Been Made Better
This is a good film, well worth watching. DOn't expect the emotional roller-coaster or in-your-face surprises of a Michael Moore documentary. Do expect to learn a lot about a phony "news" organization that lies daily about being Fair & Balanced.
The editing could be much better. There are some quick cuts that distract my attention from the information being presented. If there is anyone out there who didn't know that Bill O'Reilly is a cruel, phony loser will get a glimpse of him demonstrating these truths. I pitty anyone who pays any attention to that man. I wish the filmmakers had focused a little more on O'Reilly, and also Hannity, as there is so much out there to discredit them.
At the very least, this movie shows why it's important to get your news from several sources and be critical of what is being fed to you. Anyone who suggests otherwise is trying to manipulate you.
Jeepers Creepers (2001)
Some good parts, but still a let down.
The first 45 minutes or so of this film are pretty good, but the film rapidly deteriorates from there.
There is little that can be said without spoiling the plot for people, so I will just put it this way: the degree to which the 'killer' is superhuman/supernatural is just too much. It takes away from the thriller aspect of the film.
When you walk back to your car after the movie, or into your basement to do laundry later, you will not fear that this killer could be waiting for you in the darkness, unlike the feeling you may get after "Halloween", "Silence of the Lambs", or "insert your favorite good horror movie here".
Also, the end was awful. Just as it seems that we are about to start a bit of an adventure, it ends. Many questions are left unanswered. When you combine all of this with some huge problems with the plot.
I should note that I am easily pleased by horror movies, so for me to say negative things is unusual. However, if you like these films, go see it anyway. The ravens were cool, at least.
Waking the Dead (2000)
A Cinematic Experience
This film was an unusual experience. It was somehow different than just watching a good movie. Anyone who has ever really been in love can relate somehow, especially those who know what it's like to be truly in love with someone whose life direction is bound to diverge from your own. I couldn't leave the theatre until the very last credits had cleared the screen. Even then, I just wanted to sit there and continue the emotional experience.
Curse of the Blair Witch (1999)
Scarier Than The Movie!
I saw the movie before Is aw this TV special, though now I wish I had done in in reverse order. I was far more scared and intrigued after watching the TV special than I was after I saw the movie, which was good but fairly disappointing. Even if you hated the movie itself, please give this TV special a chance. It has many details and answers many questions than the movie does not.
The Muse (1999)
Frsh, Smart, Limitless Laughter- See The Muse
CoenHead has it all wrong, folks. Brooks takes an interesting concept and milks it for its full value. The result is a fabulous picture. Brooks' wit and charm will blindside you throughout this film, which has almost no sow parts (unlike most comedies). It's worth the time and money. Be warned, however, as you may feel compelled to see it more than once!

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I think that a lot of the people who didn't like the movie were expecting something other than what the movie promised. Before seeing the movie, I looked at a couple of Disturbing Behavior websites. They made it clear that the movie was NOT some sort of slasher horror film, but more of a suspense/thriller/sci-fi/horror movie. Remember that a true horror movie has nothing to do with slashers and gore. Disturbing Behavior presents a scenario that, if you think about it, is horrifying. It's a concept that is a bit unrealistic (like a sci-fi movie) , but at the same time doesn't seem so removed from reality. Basically, I found the movie to be ...disturbing. That's just what I expected, and I was not disappointed by anything. If it helps any, the theater I saw it in was filled with 16-26 year olds (mostly 16-19). They were all so involved and mystified by the movie that they were silent throughout almost the whole movie (except for laughs and gasps) even though they were loud and annoying during all all the previews and the first few minutes of the movie. I think you should give it a try.
