Great and refreshing

This was actually quite funny. Sarah referencing her Scream Queen past in 2019? This was great and well done.

"Killer Skin" is an American live action short film from 2019, well to be really precide, it is a commercial for skin cream manufacturer Olay. I only know Oil of Olaz (if that is not them), so I cannot say how effective their products are, but I kinda doubt they perform miracles the way they are telling us in this clip we got here. The extended version runs for 60 seconds exactly, so this is very short. Actually, it was shown furing the 2019 Super Bowl, so millions (if not billions) watched it. I wonder if it helped the company's figures. Well no, actually I don't really care. Anyway, given the occasion it was shown the needed of course a famous actress in here. And they got Sarah Michelle Gellar. Well, even with the days of Buffy long gone, she is one you will recognize immediately and for her early 40s she does look pretty attractive. No denying. They turned this into a little horror movie with her and her husband running away from a masked killer and upstairs they find a mirror and SMG admires her flawless skin there. The killer joins in on the admiration a little later. Oh well, a bit embarrassing. Not a good script, not even funny. The masked killer by the way is palyed by Freddie Prinze jr. (according to imdb) and he is the real husband of Sarah Michelle Gellar. Kinda nice to see their relationship still holds to this day and I hope it stays that way being an avid Buffy watched back in the day. Still their creative effort here did not result in something good sadly, which is probably rather due to the the script than the acting. But the final moment about how she could be a movie star with this skin is still a big miss because she was never a movie star, at best a television star, so actually poking fun this way at her movie career and trying to convince us she really is a renowned movie star did go all kinds of wrong. Just like this project as a whole. The high rating here on imdb is a joke. I give it a major thumbs-down and I am glad it was this short. Don't watch, not even if you love Gellar. If you are a neutral and fair observer, then there is only one verdict here. Skip at all costs.
